KK’s first design hotel - The LUMA Hotel is a member of the Design Hotels Brand, which is wholly owned by Marriot hospitality group. Located at Sutera Avenue, the hotel features unique interior designs that showcase Sabah’s lush rainforest and diverse culture. A spiral staircase and marble pathway that mimic a beautiful cascading fall plunging into the clear crystal river below are also available at hotel’s lobby.

There are seven types of room categories at The LUMA Hotel namely Fern Cosy Bedroom, Grass Standard Bedroom, Emerald Original Bedroom, Palm Marvellous Bedroom, Eden Deluxe Bedroom, Green Luxury Bedroom and Family Extraordinary Suite. The names and interior colours of the hotel’s guest rooms are inspired by the five layers of Sabah’s tropical rainforest.
All 115 rooms are beautifully designed and furnished with modern amenities, which include drip coffee and coffee machine, air -conditioning, 43” TV, mini bar, coffee and tea, kettle, bathtub (limited rooms), stool (limited rooms), rotating chair (limited rooms), safety box, shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, lotion and hand wash dispensers, high speed Wi-Fi, safety box, hair dryer and bathrobe. As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.
