Absolutely loved our stay there , top rooms, spacious, we stayed in the suite facing the garden. Dreamy view. The food including the breakfast was marvellous. Breakfast till 11 am and the buffet was 10/10. So much choice. The dinner too. Steak was incredible and local wine - top.
The gym was small but had the essential, pool was big and facilities top. Entire hotel was newly renovated but it kept the old school elegance and you feel like you are at a historic place. Old money “ vibe
Then the best for last, the staff. It felt super special. They were warm helpful and generous with their time and energy. Thank you so much . I really miss the hotel

The location is beautiful and super calm. Overall a realy great place for a relaxing holiday. Staff is nice and attentive. We had a massage in the spa which was really good. The pool area is really calm and they always have fresh towels. The gym is small and poorly equipped so if you are a gym rat this wont be for you. The breakfast menu is really nice and served in a beautiful setting.
The dinner menu was pretty bad when we tried it and also really expensive. €12 per bottle of filtered water!!! You can have a better dinner anywhere else around and a lot cheaper.
The garden room actually looks at the back of a hill rather than a garden, otherwise rooms are spacious and quiet. This was one of our best vacations!

We went there only for the spa, that really doesn't worth the road to the place and the small spa that they have. They also allow small children inside, so if you want to spend few relaxing hours, is not the place. The hotel and the golf appear to be nice.

I want to return to Madeira just to stay here this hotel was perfect! The history and gardens are unmatched! The concierge and breakfast was amazing!
Our phone in our room did not work and there was no iron/laundry press. Aside from this our room was large and spacious with a great view and amazing bathroom. Would absolutely return!

Wonderful location to come down, enjoy the beautiful botanical garden and great meals and wines. Very friendly service. Gratis daily shuttle to downtown Funchal for those who want to experience the vivid city.
