Wonderful, authentic, warm, friendly hotel in THE best, most charming section of ild town Chur. Restaurant was amazing! Loved it all!

The room was exactly as described, small, stairs as described, shared bathroom as described. Some other less positive are really unkind, marking diwn just because they couldn't get a table in the restaurant for example. I wish I had time to stay longer in Chur and Graubuenden.

Very good hotel. Shared bathrooms were very clean, great breakfast in the morning. Walking distance to the train station and right next to plenty of good restaurants. Excellent for the price.

Unfortunately Spa was closed without any reason, and when it‘s open you need to pay extra 30euro per person, which is not convenient for a 4star hotel.

The first single room was very small with a very small window. The second was bigger with a much nicer window and drapes.
It was close to everything and there was gluten free bread for me each morning. Very much appreciated thank you.
The property was warm at all times and had dinner and lunch options.
There is no lift, but I had help with my bag when I arrived.

We had a one night stay after riding the Bernina Express train. It was good for that purpose with a smallish, rather rustic room and bathroom. Ana at reception and in the restaurant was very helpful. The property was very clean. We had a delicious fondue in the restaurant at dinner. The breakfast was adequate, but could have had more variety. The location in the charming old town was excellent and it was within walking distance of the train station. We would recommend it for a short stay.

Overall this was a pretty nice hotel but the bathroom situation was not ideal. We were aware before going that it was a shared bathroom but there wasn’t even a shower on our floor! The bathroom on our floor only had a toilet (no sink, but we had one in our room) Our room was tiny and the price was definitely on the higher side (that’s Switzerland for you) but it was one of the cheaper hotels in Chur. Not trying to scare people, just warn them.

When we arrived we were able to check in without any problems, staff was very friendly but failed to mention that we needed to make a reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant. Not a big deal except that we did not know that almost every restaurant in town was closed. Since we had a long day in getting to our destination we were pretty tired and not really paying attention. So it took some walking around to finally find a place to eat, After eating we walked back to the hotel to our room and tried to get sleep but the beds are very uncomfortable, the room was pretty hot and right above the kitchen so we could hear every dish that clanked. Then about the time we started to doze off we heard a lot of yelling, screming, and general rowdiness directly below our window which we had left open to try and cool it off.

Switzerland is an expensive destination, no doubt. But, this is not a $160/night hotel. With shared bath and no lift, a more respectful rate might be $100 (85-90 CHF). A good place for a quick, passing-through single night (an excellent breakfast, convenient to the rail station, spectacularly charming altstadt neighborhood), but not a hotel to spend more than a night.

Helpful staff, good breakfast, fresh coffee or chocolate with breakfast, clean rooms and facilities, convenient to everything, close to train station, enjoyed dinner. Difficulty in walking up to 4th floor location of bedroom. Had to go to 3rd floor to shower. Will be happy to return but make sure to stay on 3rd floor.

This was a VERY basic hotel room. No tissues, no fridge, no tea or coffee, no safe, extremely noisy, but the staff and breakfast were great.

I stayed in room 22.
It was extremely small and I would highly recommend to take take this enormous closet out of the room in exchange for something smaller.
One person does not need such a big closet.
The room could use a little updating.
Fresh coat of paint,new curtains etc.
The personnel was great.
