Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center

Convenience of shuttle to the Lions game was a plus! Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Bed bugs! And they were totally nonchalant about it!

The Hotel was beautiful and restaurants wonderful. They just have a homeless problem.

There’s some rude front desk ladies. Nice view only.

Very nice stay

No clean sheets and covers, we let the staff know and was told they will get to it. We left for at least 4hrs when we returned nothing was done hair was still on the sheets and covers from the previous guest. The only thing that was nice was the view other than that I do not recommend a stay at this hotel.

The room was so cold. No matter how high we turned up the heat, it still was freezing. To the point where we couldn’t take showers. Our visit would have been so much more enjoyable if the room was actually warm enough.

Familiarity

We love staying here, up high. Fantastic views and easy-ish transport to Greektown, for the best Greek food (Pegasus)!

It was nice, but Marriott customer service was not that great with helping me get into my rewards account. And the rooms were out dated.

The pillows were hard and didn’t sleep well at all and when I went to shower there was no body wash at all

Very nice and very helpful. Service was incredible. I will be staying there again.

My only problem with the hotel room was that it wasn’t the cleanest there was yellow stains all over the tub and the towels smelt funny as well

First time in Detroit. Hotel was amazing.

Overall, the hotel is like a museum and a tribute to the prior greatness of Detroit. Older appointed rooms but our room service was fantastic. Restaurant folks were ok too. My experience with the reception, however, was like I was traveling in a third-world country. Crystal was so unfriendly, uncooperative and rude that she would certainly benefit from a customer service training! She was not helpful with my request to move to another room (which I understand if there is full occupancy) but she did not make any effort and showed no compassion or care. I left the reception desk feeling humiliated. When I was checking out (again with Crystal) I felt humiliated again by the way she handled the payment. She abused her power and took advantage of being in charge by being very rude and domineering. I am sorry to have experienced such treatment. am a Bonvoy member and I will be very careful with bonvoy bookings now. This damaged the Bonvoy brand name a lot for me. Please train your receptionists to be caring enough.

I had to get a new room it was trash let in my room.. it was my husband 40th bday we celebrated at highland and that messed up our whole night first time at your hotel and we had the worst time..

Need to update the rooms.
