Holiday Inn NYC - LOWER EAST SIDE, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was very nice. The staff and service were impeccable. The area around the hotel wasn't so safe after dark, however. But that's beyond the control of the holiday inn. But overall we had a great time

Wonderful staff. Great location. In the heart of the lower east side. No frills, but clean and tidy with everything you need for a city hotel.

It was close to my meetings

Everyone was kind and helpful. The staff is 24/7 so that was nice to have. The hotel is in a great area. You can walk to anything you need. Definitely coming back!

Front desk employees are professional, friendly & helpful. Hotel was clean & tidy. My room was the same. The bed was firm which I prefer to a too soft bed. I ate breakfast & dinner at the new restaurant there, Cantina Sundown. Food & service was good. The only complaint I would have is about the breakfast. I ordered bacon with my eggs & they give you only one slice of bacon & the toast were the smallest pieces of toast I have ever seen. The pancakes I had one morning were fine. Overall I would say this is a good place to stay if you are planning on doing things in that part of NYC. I went to a venue called Berlin A which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Also went to the Tenement Museum which is a 5 minute walk.

Friendly Staff

I stayed at this hotel and was disappointed with several aspects of my experience. The water in the shower didn’t drain properly, and despite informing the staff, who promised to contact the engineers, nothing was resolved. As a result, I had to shower at the pool every day. Additionally, the rooms are not soundproof, and the noise from outside made it difficult to relax. Towels were not provided according to the number of guests in the room, and basic maintenance issues, such as fixing the bathtub when requested, were ignored. The location of the hotel was also inconvenient. While it is close to the subway, the station is not accessible, which made getting around with luggage or strollers difficult. Moreover, reaching many destinations required switching subway lines, which added time and hassle to our travels. While the staff was nice, the overall experience left much to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these issues are addressed.

Excellent location to move around city

We were very impressed with our stay here! Very close to the subway with a ton of coffee shops, bodegas, and restaurants. Essex Market is across the street with a variety of great dining options. We loved Unregular Pizza! We especially loved the pastries and coffee at Pause Cafe a few blocks down. Andres at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was pristine with full-size bottles of Dove products for shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand soap. We will definitely be back and will continue to recommend this hotel!
