What does Flight Delay Insurance cover?

Compensation of THB 1,000 if your flight is delayed for at least 120 minutes from the itinerary as stated in the scheduled departure time.

Please note that Flight Delay Insurance does not cover:

• The insured does not register or check in to the airline within the specified time.
• Strike or protest by employees of airlines or the airport which commences or is declared before or while the Insured applies for travel insurance.
• Cancellation of the airline's service by the order or instructions issued by a government.
• The insured is aware in advance of the delay before applying for the insurance.
• The payment made is recoverable from the airline or airport.

The terms and conditions of Flight Delay Insurance are as follows:

1. Insurance is non-refundable.
2. Delayed time is calculated from the difference between the scheduled and the actual departure time.
3. Insurance coverage starts when you have checked in at the origin airport within the time required by the airline to proceed to the departure gate and ends one (1) hour after you arrive at the destination airport.
4. Does not cover flight reschedule and cancelation by airlines. If the flight is rescheduled and updated by the airline on the airport’s notice board at least 12 hours before the schedule departure time, this new time will be considered as the departure time according to the latest schedule update.
5. Compensation is paid to the Insured. If there are multiple passengers, compensation will be multiplied by the number of passengers and be paid to the Insured.
6. For multiple delays in the one-way itinerary, only 1 compensation can be paid out.
7. For a round-trip itinerary, passengers can claim 1 compensation for the departing flight and 1 compensation for the returning flight.
8. If you need to reschedule your flight on your own will, you should inform any updates or changes in your policy details to Insurance Provider, or your policy will be deemed invalid when you need to make a claim. To do so, contact the Insurance Provider directly to request Policy Endorsement.
9. When your flight is delayed for more than 120 minutes, you will receive notification by SMS and email with instructions on how to claim.
10. If your flight is delayed for more than 120 minutes but you don't receive the notification via SMS and email, proceed to claim manually by clicking here for completing the claim form, and submit all required documents.
11. Flight Delay Insurance is underwritten by Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited and operated by Premium Direct Broker Co.,Ltd.
12. All insurance-related matters after purchase are solely between the Insured Person and Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited.
13. The amount of benefits paid to the Insured Person is fully dependent on the policy of Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited. Traveloka will not be held responsible for the amount paid to the Insured Person.

This insurance will not cover the following conditions:

Instant Claim: Receive automatic notification when your flight is delayed

1. When your flight is delayed for more than 120 minutes, you will receive notification by SMS and email with instructions on how to claim.
2. Click the link provided (or click here) and register an account then submit the claims documents within 30 days of the date of the incident.
3. Complete the relevant sections and questions in the online form; and attach all the required supporting documents according to the instructions. Please note that incomplete details or documents will result in the need for clarification and likely delay the assessment of your claim.
4. Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days via email after Thaivivat receives your documents.
5. Receive compensation in 7 working days after submitting complete claims documents.

What to do if you don’t receive the claim notification

1. Go to the email that was attached the insurance policy or click here and register an account.
2. Submit your claims documents within 30 days of the date of the incident.
3. Complete the relevant sections and questions in the online form; and attach all the required supporting documents according to the instructions. Please note that incomplete details or documents will result in the need for clarification and likely delay the assessment of your claim.
4. Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days via email after Thaivivat receives your documents.
5. If your claim documents have been reviewed in accordance with the terms of the insurance policy and approved, the compensation will be paid in 7 working days.

Documents for Claim Submission

1. Complete the claim form and submit all required documents such as:
   1. Bank details
   2. Passenger’s National ID number(s)
   3. Copy of National ID card(s)
   4. Copy of boarding pass(es)
   5. Copy of bank account book(s)
   6. Beneficiary Letter(s), if needed
   7. Letter from Airline Confirming the Flight Delay
