Have you ever been in a situation where you found a good deal on a flight ticket, but you cannot buy it yet since maybe, you are still waiting on your friends’ decision or simply need more time to make your plans more concrete?
And in that situation, have you ever worried that the ticket price will increase?
Well now, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Because with Price Lock, you now have the option to just lock the price of a flight ticket for several days first, and then decide later if you want to continue buying the ticket or not.
So, let’s say that you hold the price for the ticket for 3 days. In those 3 days, you can use the time to finalize your plans, and you don’t have to worry about the price increasing.
Later, if you decide to go, you will pay for the price that you locked earlier.
Provides protection against price increases whilst in the lock duration.
Ticket prices go down later? No problem, you’ll pay for the lower price when you buy the ticket.
Later, you’re also free to choose which passengers will proceed in buying the ticket or not.
Select Flight on your Traveloka App and fill in your trip details. Then, select on the flight(s) that suits you. After that, tap on Lock Price at the bottom of the page.
Read the details regarding the Lock Price. Then, select the duration of the lock that suits you. After that, tap Continue.
Pay for the Price Lock Fee. Once payment is done, open your Price Lock Voucher at My Booking. There, you will see how much time you have left. You can also continue purchasing your ticket if you decide to go by tapping on Buy Ticket.
The Price Lock fee is non-refundable.
However, should your flight later be canceled by the airline while it’s locked, your Price Lock fee will be refunded.
Price Lock can be purchased with any payment type, with the exceptions of installments.
However, when you buy your ticket, you can still use the installment method.
The duration of the Price Lock cannot be extended.
If you need more time to decide on your flight, you can purchase another Price Lock on the same flight. However, please note that the price that is locked will follow the ticket price at the time of the new lock.
“Price Lock” is a service offered by Traveloka (“we”, “us” or “our”) to a user (“you” or “your”’) to lock the price of a selected flight for a specific period of time (“Hold Period”) at specified fare price, granting you extra time to plan the trip while locking your then-quoted acceptable fare price (“Locked Price”) which you can later book your selected flight at your convenient time. Price Lock will be offered by us for certain flights which we will provide you with the specific details and information during your booking process in case Price Lock is applicable to such flights. By purchasing Price Lock, you agree to the terms and conditions as follows.
1.Price Lock Fee. To receive the Price Lock service, we will charge you the one-time charged fee for the selected flight and extra from the full ticket price (“Price Lock Fee”), the rate of which will be varied depending on the airline tickets you select (“Selected Ticket”) and/or the length of the Hold Period that you choose. You must ensure that the length of the Hold Period that you choose is not longer than the departure date of the Selected Ticket.
If you wish to purchase the Price Lock for more than one passenger in a booking, please ensure that you select and purchase the Price Lock for each passenger in your booking. You are required to fully pay us the Price Lock Fee via the payment methods designated by us only. Price Lock Fee is non-refundable, and your complete purchase and full payment of Price Lock is non-transferable to any other flights or passengers, except provided expressly in these terms and conditions.
2.Hold Period. Hold Period will start upon your complete and successful payment of the Price Lock Fee and automatically end after the expiration of the Hold Period.
If you decide not to purchase the Selected Ticket within the Hold Period, no further action is required and Price Lock will be automatically canceled upon expiration of the Hold Period.
You acknowledge that (a) we may not notify you of the approaching expiration of a Hold Period and agree that you have your own responsibility to purchase the Selected Ticket at the Locked Price within the Hold Period and (b) we will no longer be obligated to sell you the Selected Tickets at the Locked Price after expiration of the Hold Period.
3.Purchase of Selected Ticket. You are able to purchase only the Selected Ticket for yourself and the passengers who you completed the information at the time of your complete purchase of Price Lock. We do not and will not allow you to change any flight other than your Selected Ticket (including the date and time of travel, type of fare, fare classes, names of passengers and number of passengers entitled to the Locked Price).
In the event that you and/or part of the passengers in your Price Lock bookings wish to continue to purchase the Selected Ticket at the Locked Price, you are entitled to proceed accordingly by excluding or unselecting such passengers from your bookings. Price Lock for those excluding or unselecting passenger(s) will automatically be canceled.
We will neither be responsible nor liable for any inaccurate or incomplete information or error which you made and filled at the time of your Price Lock purchase.
In the event that you have purchased the Selected Ticket and later experience the flight reschedule or cancellation made by the airline, the Price Lock Fee is non-refundable.
4.Price Difference. Subject to the maximum coverage amount that we will pay you (“Coverage Cap”), if the purchase price of your Selected Ticket at the time of ticket purchase is higher than the Locked Price, we will cover the price difference. In this case, you will be solely responsible for the amount higher than the Coverage Cap.
If the price of the Selected Ticket is lower than the Locked Price, you will pay the lower price. For clarity, we will not refund you the Price Lock Fee even though the purchase price is lower than the Locked Price.
We will expressly notify you of the Coverage Cap at the time of your Price Lock purchase.
5.Selected Ticket Availability. Your purchase of Price Lock does not guarantee the availability of the Selected Ticket. In the event that the flight of the Selected Ticket is canceled, no longer available, or made unavailable by the airline within the Hold Period, we will refund you the Price Lock Fee within 5 business days by transferring the refund to the original payment method used for the initial purchase, provided that you must request refund of the Price Lock Fee within the the Hold Period. You agree to fully release and discharge us from Price Lock Fee refund if you fail to request such refund within the Hold Period.
The Price Lock Fee will be refunded to you through the same method of payment that you paid the Price Lock Fee to us.
You acknowledge that we may not notify you of the cancellation, reschedule, reroute or availability of the Selected Ticket and agree that you have your own responsibility to check such availability through “My Booking” feature available on Traveloka application.
6.General Terms & Conditions. Other than these Price Lock Terms & Conditions, our general Terms & Conditions apply to your use of our website and application. We hereby highlight that you must adhere to the rules and policies of certain airlines for the tickets that you purchase including but not limited cancellation, refund or reschedule policies at the time of your purchase of the flight ticket.
