Great value.

I paid up front for a room. I was horrified to find that on my arrival the reception to check-in finishes at 21:00hrs. This is an extraordinary time to close reception. I had just travelled into Dieppe by Ferry, arriving at the port at 22:00hrs. On arrival at the hotel at 22:28 I tried phoning for them to let me in but there was no response to my call. There is no forewarning on the page advertising this hotel that it closes so early. I only read the 'small print' (not on the advertisement page but on the ticket confirmation - by which time it is too late) the next day. I then had to find, and pay for, another hotel room. I am not happy that I've paid for something that I was not able to use.

Late arrival from UK ferry. Receptionist had put our key in key box and sent email to advise but was there when we arrived to hand over key. Ground floor room, think possibly bathrooms all refitted, very nice shower. Bed comfy, all good.

Clean comfortable owner-managed motel. Quiet modern well-decorated rooms, comfortable beds, attentive service. Highly recommended. Will try to stay again.

Clean and comfortable, great breakfast

Ferry 3 hours late docking so couldn’t make it to hotel before reception closed. Phoned them. They gave me a code for lock box to get our key. Gave me an after hours number in case of emergency. Got there and room was so warm and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom spotless. Breakfast next morning was delicious and great value for money.

Great location for quick overnight stay from ferry. Easy to find. Easy late self check in. Lots of parking. Quiet & safe. Basic but clean rooms. Comfy beds & pillows. Value for money.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were in a reasonable condition, but showing signs of age. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was good. Overall the hotel is a good budget,in a good position on outskirts of town.

Late arrival after ferry crossing. Arrived at 11pm with instructions on how to access room. Family room / 2 adjoining was comfy and clean.Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on anything else. OK for quick overnight stop but pretty featureless.

Good place for over night stop when using ferry

The rooms were clean. The shower good. The check in straight forward. Open stairs to First floor bedrooms. The biggest issue for us was SECURITY. In the middle of the night 2 men banged on our first floor bedroom door and window shutters for about 10min demanding us to open the door to ‘ talk’. When we did not respond they then said they were police! We believe they intended to extract money/ possessions. They tried this on other bedrooms too, and then left.

Really nice place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good and only 7.5 euros. Quiet and friendly staff. Mom and pops type hotel. Automatic Steel curtain that makes in nice and dark to sleep and for privacy

Amazingly good value! Perfectly adequate overnight stay, it even has a separate place to open your suitcase in comfort. Nice shower. Dogs allowed for a small fee. Close to ferry port and onwards roads.

This is a very nice little 2 star hotel to stay in before getting the ferry at Dieppe. The rooms are nice, modern, and a reasonable size. I would be happy to stay in this or another Balladins in the future.

Reasonable motel type hotel. Clean and functional. Breakfast very good, environment for eating very pleasant. Host stayed up to receive us late and was very welcoming. Good for overnight stop.

Stayed en route to the DFDS ferry. Pleasant helpful staff on arrival. The internet connection was rather slow.
