Things Terlingua Nights Cabins don't mention on the various hotel websites: * The water in the sinks and showers is NON-POTABLE. That’s right, you’re showering in water that is not safe to drink. And if you don’t want to brush your teeth with that water, you’ll have to pour bottled water over your toothbrush. * Note (see picture) that on the tiny sheet notifying you that the water is unsafe, that detail is THIRD on the list, after “please conserve water” and “do not flush paper products.” * If you’re in a cabin numbered from 1 to 5, your bathroom is in a separate building. Cabin 1 is next door, Cabin 5 is farthest away. There is no running water in the cabins. To be fair, the site I was on did mention that, ON THE THIRD PAGE OF FINE PRINT. The pictures at the top of the listing show a bathroom without mentioning it is not in the actual cabin. Rooms 6 to 9 do have a bathroom under the same roof, but remember, it is non-potable water. * The pool: there actually is a pool, 32 MILES AWAY! It is at the Terlingua Nights LODGE, which according to my GPS is 32 miles and 41 minutes away from the cabins. * Other details: no closets, no luggage stands, very little furniture at all. If you’re okay paying hotel rates for what is actually rather low-end Glamping, then Terlingua Nights Cabins may be for you. 2 stars, for the walls and roof.

Was not what we thought it would be. In picture my wife viewed, she thought she saw a restroom in the cabin. The plastic matress protection was noisy and caused us to sweat and did not rest well at all. We survived!

It is by the highway so noisy at times. The one bathroom stinks. The rooms are small but comfortable.

Quaint cabins in a remote part of Texas. Might be a little challenging to find during the day, but damn near impossible to find at night, despite the elaborate instructions sent. They desperately need a LIGHTED sign. Had to call them to get the door access code. The no potable water threw me at first, but they provided bottled water, so it really wasn't an issue.

You could not tell from the website or ads that cabins were without an attached bathroom - quite a surprise. Very cramped quarters. Couldn't figure out how to turn on heater until we called owner. Least pleasant stay on our vacation.

Good location for accessing local nature, walking distance to one cafe and small driving distance to many more. Quiet with great view of the stars.

I was quite surprised that it was not like a real motel. No receptionist, no breakfast, no tv, no privacy, very small.

Was our for my first experience w/ a music festival. I’m on production side of things. Terlingua Nights Cabin’s provided a comfortable escape from the Far West Texas desert. This is a remote location so don’t expect room service and turn down service. You get a clean small cabin w/ a refrigerator and air conditioning (both extremely important out there) and clean function rather nice showers and water closets… I enjoyed my stay and I’m sure I will return there at some point. Absolutely recommend!!!

This is place is for more hardy individuals. Yes, you are in the middle of the desert. There are signs that ask you to limit your shower to 5 minutes. Yes, the bathrooms are shared and you do have to go outside if you want to use the bathroom for any reason. Yes, the cabins are very small and there is no place to put your luggage. (I kept my luggage in the car and would only brings the clothes that I needed in the cabin). It is a bonus that your car is right next to your door. Yes, the microwave is outside and shared. Yes, the bed is on the smaller side and feels and sounds like its covered with a thick plastic coverings. If you can't get over that, then don't book here. I enjoyed my time here depsite all of that because I was there to shower and sleep. My favorite memory is lying on the hammock and night and viewing all the STARS! I did have trouble with the comminication with who runs this place. I called the day before my check in and gave them my credit card info for incidentals and was reassured that the code to my place would be released by check in time (4pm) the following day. 4pm came and went and I heard nothing. I had trouble calling them as my call went through but they could not hear me. I had to go down the street to get Wifi. I did get a text messge giving me my lockbox code. However, they did not tell me WHERE the lock box was. Another guest showed me that the lockbox was located on your porch in a not so obvious area.

Although cabin didn’t have a bathroom, the bathhouse was just next door and well-maintained. It’s quite a unique experience for us to stay in such an interesting cabin facing gorgeous mountain and sunset views. It’s almost like a scene from a Hollywood movie.

Everything was great. Location was excellent, perfect for sunsets. Only had 1 small disappointment, the was only flavored coffee available. Just plain coffee would have been great. Restrooms, and shower was wonderful. I would highly recommend this property.

I didn't realize that the cabin was an 8 foot by 16 foot box that barely fit a double bed, in which the mattress was covered in plastic. This made for a sweaty night for sleeping. It was not advertised that you had to walk outside to the bathroom. My wife has bad knees & hips. She was unhappy with walking outside in the dark to use the toilet or shower!
