The area and the place itself are very nice. The cottages are nice and comfy and clean the only thing that I would suggest to try and get better It's definitely the beds. They are super soft once you lay in them you sink into the middle, making it very uncomfortable to rest. The other thing is, I know it's out in the woods but i don't know where they were coming from but there was a ton of these little black beetles inside that I killed, I must have killed about 20 in the duration of 5 days, they were everywhere, bathroom and all over the bed, and less, but not least I don't know if the walls are a little too thin but I could totally hear the conversation of the people Next To Me. The cottage building itself, it's split into 3. There is a middle area and 2 adjacent ones. They have interconnecting doors, I guess, if bigger families, rent 2 and can connect between each other Otherwise you can block those, but you could totally hear anything. The other people were saying. So I guess keep that in mind if you have a loud family or larger party, your neighbor's may complain about noise.

The property is in a beautiful green valley with cows grazing on the hills opposite. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. The lodge commicated often via text and had dinner and breakfast options for some of our stay.

The stay was fine! Staff super nice! Restroom too far from our cabin.

We stayed over a holiday weekend so I’m sure the price is elevated due to that. iI would not pay what I did again for the cabin. Bedrooms are extremely small, not much room for moving around in them. Great if you’re traveling with dogs.

We stayed in a cabin, and it was in great shape, and could sleep 8. It had a small room with a fridge and microwave. No bathroom. It was well air conditioned. The bathrooms were the only issue. It was a hot summer day and the bathrooms were over 90 degrees at 10 pm. In the morning, it cooled to about 80, maybe. It was too hot to take an effective shower at night. The extra sinks on the outside were not working or no outside light. It was miserable just trying to brush you teeth in the heat or darkness. The Petrified forest was interesting. The view and setting were great.

Nice place to stay with the family. Couldnt find the pond but the creek was pretty and has a nice area to picnic. Bedding and some could use some updating, but otherwise was great.

We loved how quiet and serene this lodging was from all the business of Custer. We got all the same experience but less costly and much calmer cabin. The facilities were great- all the convenience of a modern hotel with the charm of a real family run business. We will be returning again and staying here for sure!

Definitely a beautiful place!!! Could use more lights outside and flatter areas! But we loved it and will definitely be back
