Classic Lodges - Farington Lodge

A little tired on that TV was terrestrial and shower unit one of those square tight units. Bathroom had heaps of space as did bedroom. Comfy bed. Heating control got the better of me. Service exemplary. Made me and my 2 well traveled miniture Dachshunds very welcome despite some less dog friendly guests. Great grounds. Very peaceful. Uniquely the hotel charge is £15 per animal per night! I am hoping the marketing manager does answermy email concerning this.

Lovely location and great location for my needs. Room comfortable but overall needs a face lift.

Fabulous

We were greeted by lovely friendly staff on arrival. The room was well equipped and very spacious. The king-size bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was a simple yet very tasty buffet style of cold and traditional cooked items. Again, the friendly staff were on hand offering toast and drink refills. All in all a lovely stay and we will definitely book again..

Beautiful building and grounds. Hotel a bit tired, no fridge in room. Arrived back at 12.05...bar shut which was then opened for 20 mins...not the norm for nightcap

Staff at this hotel are amazing nothing was too much trouble. Really welcoming very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel. Would definitely come again?

The room was extremely creaky. The floor was so loose that walking across the room caused all the furniture to wobble. Single glazed window could not be opened so especially after showing, the room was very stuffy. Our room was above the lobby/kitchen and there was music heard all through the night. I suppose for the price, a luxury stay was not expected, but I at least imagined it to be more comfortable than it was.

Average hotel our room was cold due to not being able to close windows, food average and drinks ridiculously overpriced , best of all were the staff who under the very efficient manager were courteous and friendly.

Wonderful

The staff, especially Donna was outstanding. We stayed 3 nights due to having a birthday party for my wife at the hotel. The organisation prior to the event was well organised by Jennifer . We had several other guests who also stayed at the hotel over the weekend. The only reason I did not give it a higher rating is a the problem they had serving breakfast one morning. At their request we sat at one table of 7. Again at their request arrived at same time. We waited an hour for our break to be served. The chef decided it would be easier keep serving tables of 2 rather than a table of 7. These things happen. What impressed me was the way Donna sorted off the problem once she was aware and credited cost of breakfast back to each room.

Nice little bar area and the grounds are lovely. Food is not great but service is good. Would stay again 👍

very large room with the smallest TV I've seen. My room was above the back door which meant some outside noise during the afternoon and staff having their smoke break outside. Bathroom very nice! WIFI intermittent Breakfast very average, although cooked breakfast served very hot!!!
