I have stayed at the Clayton (and previously the Apex) many times over the years and it is constantly reliably good which I cannot say of other hotels I have stayed in. Only problems are the aircon where the minimum temperature is 19c which is often too warm and the Wifi system which knocks out my email. Still my first choice.

Great stay from check in to check out. Not on a busy through road so noise reduced. This is a terrific hotel only 7 minutes walk from Liverpool Street station.

Unfortunately on check in our property was not ready. Check in opens at 14:30pm, we arrived at the property for 15:15 and the room was not available till 4pm which was disappointing. Other than that rooms were well sized, clean and modern. Our stay was comfortable once we had our room.
