The property is gorgeous well maintained and clean All the staff we crossed paths with were so friendly and helpful. I visited with my 9 year old daughter and they were happy to answer her queries she had. Room was also spacious clean and comfortable

Beautiful hotel, had a lovely afternoon tea and used the spa facilities, loved the outside hot tub. The showers could do with updating. The staff were very helpful and friendly. And the staff helped sort out an item we left at the hotel.

It started well and a lovely guy checked me in, very friendly and told me everythjng I needed to know. My partner arrived and we used the spa, average hotel spa and quite busy due to people using the gym too. I didnt sleep much, if you are a light sleeper room 7 isn't for you. There is a noise like a boiler heating up most of the night and a gurgling from the bath. The heaying is VERY loud too. In the morning, I was woke at 8.30 by the gardener doing whatever they were doing for about 15 minutes, then I tried to drift back off, baring in mind my top half was exposed fully as I was in bed, a man just walks in around 9.45. I assume a cleaner but I dont know, he said " oh sorry" and left. Didnt knock or anything just let himself in. Check out is at 11am so this was long before he could just assume someone wasn't in there. I felt violated and embarrassed so I just packed and left without even showering. I didnt feel comfortable bringing it up to the man in reception as it isn't like he could go back in time and stop it, and I didn't want to be further embarrassed whilst I was still upset. I emailed the company from my car still in the car park then left. So that was around 10am and it is 5pm now and have had no sort of reply. If you are a female travelling alone, or your partner will be leaving before you I wouldnt recommend this hotel. The whole thing has left me feeling upset and icky, not a relaxing spa trip at all.

Lovely location but the room and spa are very tired and in need of maintenance and a refresh.

It’s of a very high standard in all respects

We loved the outdoor hot tub it was really great. The spa area is wonderful. Our room which was for 3 of us was just lovely and bright. I've been here several times the grounds are also lovely and nearby good for walking.

I loved this hotel. Conveniently located just off the beaten path. Interior and exterior were beautiful. Service people were professional and helpful.

Good value for money staff extremely friendly too

The double bed room was well appointed and included tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits and drinking chocolate. The spa included well-equipped gym, large pool, sauna and steam room. Service in the bar/restaurant was efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Spa shower control missing - locker room unclean sauna guests pouring water on an electrical sauna element ! Stayed here often in the past but its declined a lot since

Our stay at this hotel was not pleasant at all. The jacuzzi indoors was closed during our stay and the outdoor jacuzzi the surrounding area could do with a clean. The building and facilities are very dated and desperately need a refresh. There are cracks in the walls ceiling, outdated decor which clashes badly and just overall not authentically pleasing. The building inside is a harsh contrast to the lovely front garden and building from outdoors. Our room was okay, again needs a refresh of everything. For a spa hotel I expected nice products to use but they were cheap small bottles and only had a soap, shampoo and body wash - no moisturiser. The power was constantly cutting out in our room, we had to keep going to reception to let them know, and our phone didn’t work. The bed is unsuitable for individuals over 6ft I would not recommend it at all for taller people unless you want an awful nights sleep. The rooms are noisy too and you can hear peoples doors constantly slamming closed. Dining is very limited too. I wouldn’t return to this hotel unless it underwent major referbishment.

Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful interiors, very comfortable room, beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Ideal romantic getaway. We had a garden view. The spa facilities were good. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, however the food looked and smelled fantastic.

The property provided exactly what it said. Excellent Gym, good location.

Hotel and grounds really nice. Staff not friendly and cold. No lift in hotel and la k of information. No welcome or information of services in hotel. Take a £50 payment on checking as a deposit and if checking out early no one there to check out or a key box for reassurance that everything ok and deposit returned. The one time there was the room wasn’t checked so holding and taking that extra payment isn’t warranted. Bar shuts early and no set times. Breakfast starts late and if included on booking at £15 charge they make you a disappointing appetite ruining pack up. There is no log or knowledge from housekeeping of any lost property left. Staff no help and clueless on the matter and just to tell you to come back later, wait for a manager to come in, need to talk to housekeeping. Hotel and grounds stunning! Just shame that the little things and guest’s treatment lacking After checking in. No phone signal and nothing close by in walking distance. No sheltered smoking area.

Terrible

Clean spacious room with lovely en-suite. Just disappointed ,having travelled for over 3 hours, to be told on arrival that there had been a mix up with our room. We did get offered complimentary drinks in the bar. Lighting outside to the front of the property would be good as very dark getting from the car park to the entrance.
