Holiday Inn Express BIRMINGHAM - OLDBURY, an IHG Hotel

Good position by M5 easy to find easy parking and very welcoming receptionist even at 01.00am very pleased to find the bar open after a long drive and a chance to relax. In the morning there was a very good buffet breakfast with plenty of hot and cold choices very busy area..

Friendly, helpful staff. Good hot breakfast with lots of variety. Comfortable bed. My only gripe is that there's only one power outlet in the room and it's the opposite side of the room from the bed. My wife and I like to sit in bed and use our computers and also charge our mobile phones near where we're sleeping.

The room provided to us didn’t have a smart tv and our friends who were staying in other room had it. Also the heating system wasn’t working and the room was cold all night. We did contact the desk and they weren’t much help (didn’t bother to come and look). Only suggested on the phone

Bit old hotel, not renovated but good enough to stay for a day or two. Staff are very kind and helpful. Check-in & check-out was smooth.

Check in was quick and friendly. The hotel was clean and smart. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was too firm for me so I did not get a good night sleep. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The location is very convenient .

Unfortunately, I never got to stay there because I had surgery for a ruptured appendix, which didn’t allow me to fly to England. I am definitely going to visit the Oldbury area as soon as I am able. Also, unfortunately, the hotel will not give me a credit for a future stay. Not very nice! I want to stay at this hotel when I visit! And that’s the truth!!!

I stayed for one night. The stay was good overall, breakfast was good, although some options e.g. vegetables were missing. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Nothing just a clean lovely place to stay. The surrounding area has a lot off road works which could do with a good clearing up.

Lovely place to stay close to Birmingham City Centre. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly on checking in. Breakfast was buffet style and it was hot and plentiful. Shower was powerful. Couldn’t have asked for more. Great value for money.

We were on the third floor and the lift was not working for the whole of our stay there.

Nothing working in no left working no coffee machine working room is smiling very bad toilet flush not working well

The lady on check-in desk spoke so quietly, I could not make out what she was saying. I had to tell her my postcode 3 times for ger to get it right. Room was clean and comfortable but the bed was small. Breakfast was manic. The area was not big enough for the number of guests. Coffee machine was ouf of order. My wife had to wait 15 minutes for hot food to be replenished. Didn't appear to be enough staff. The staff present worked really hard. Seemed to be a lot of dogs in the hotel. I've had better experiences staying in a hotel. The bar stayed open very late if you got back late after a night out.

it was alright i was on the fist floor but life was not working it was pain i am disabled so found it was painful going up down the stairs .
