It’s was very noisy in the balcony room.
I would not recommend a balcony room because noise from other guests is extreme. There were antisocial guests up all night making lots of noise inside the hotel and out in the balcony. This continued through the night until 8am.
The hotel took no measures to prevent or stop this. Be very careful about staying here.

We were very lucky and got an upgrade to a room with a balcony. The bedroom was very spacious and well supplied with tea, coffee etc. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom very good too. We ate in the restaurant. Food was lovely. All of the people we met, in the reception and restaurant were friendly, helpful and effecient.

The service and staff were fantastic as was the hotel itself, my only criticism was it was difficult to sleep as we could hear loudly the function going on downstairs but fortunately this finished by midnight and then it was wonderfully quiet
