Great location for transport or walking distance to shopping or main areas, rooms are not made up every day unless you make a request, this was never an issue communicated thru WhatsApp

Coffe makers were dirty. Regular clean up need attention.

Really enjoyed our stay at Maison Durante. Spacious room which overlooked the patio. Staff were friendly, showing us to our room. Closely located to the station which is an easy hub to get to other towns and villages nearby. Also relatively short walk to the promenade. Would recommend dining at Voyageur Nissart and stopping by Mariass 1901 for a coffee.

This was my worst hotel experience ever. It was so bad that I had to cancel my reservation and find another place to stay. I wish I had the option to give a negative star rating. We had reserved two suite rooms and were assigned to Rooms 16 and 31. Both rooms felt damp, unclean and outdated, with AC units that didn’t cool properly, and low water pressure. Room 31 – This was an absolute nightmare. It was extremely humid, and the AC didn’t cool at all. The staff brought us two fans, but they didn’t help. Opening the window wasn’t an option because many mosquitoes would fly in. There was black mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom, a cracked wall, and a dirty rug. The room was so warm and damp that we were sweating as if we’d been swimming. It was simply unacceptable. Room 16 – It was slightly more acceptable since it’s on the second floor. However, you have to open the window to avoid sweating, which means dealing with a lot of mosquito bites. The door lock was either extremely complicated or just broken—we got stuck in the room three times and had to ask staff to unlock it for us from the outside. The hotel itself is old and rundown. The staff tried to be helpful, but they couldn’t compensate for the poor condition of the hotel. Both my family and I ended up with numerous mosquito bites. It’s hard to understand how other visitors could give this place a 4-5 star rating. The only good thing is the location is great, but you can totally find other way better options than

Great location next to the train. A bit of a walk to the promenade but it gives you a nice chance to explore beautiful Nice. My only concern was housekeeping. They only clean your room before 11 upon request. I’ve stayed many times in France and didn’t have this issue. Lots of food options around the area and a market a few blocks down the street.

They were very helpful, kept me informed from beginning of booking, lovely patio garden. 5 minutes from train station, surprisingly quiet recently updated

Everything is great! Staff is so friendly and welcoming, room is spacious and clean and cozy. Breakfast is good with no hot food though. Cheese, ham, pastry, boiled eggs, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, fruits all fresh and delicious. Train station just few minutes walk. Beach 15 mins walk. Great option to stay in Nice. Highly recommended!

A beautiful, well decorated and perfectly located hotel. Staff were very kind and helpful, the location was in the centre of Nice but in a quiet area. We based ourselves in Nice to go to other parts of the riviera and it couldn’t have been better located for this. Thank you for a beautiful stay! Really recommend ☺️

Bad customer service

Everything was good, except two things no market around and not many restaurants nearby.

Loved it. Clean, comfortable rooms. Courtyard was beautiful and lovely French breakfast every morning. They have free coffee throughout the day too!

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Very conveniently located next to the train station. Delicious breakfast with lots of variety.

We had a lovely stay at Maison Durante - we stayed for a week and the Suite was perfect with enough space for us to relax. The hotel in general was great but a few things like it could do with a slightly better clean and the fire alarm went off multiple times with seemingly no staff appearing or knowing what to do. However, the hotel is in a great location, 2 minutes to Nice Ville train station, and a close walk to the beach the main streets in Nice and other transport links. Easily accessible from the airport. Secure access to the hotel and the staff were very helpful with holding luggage before and after check in / out. Would recommend staying at Maison Durante!

Really nice small hotel, welcoming staff and good facilities

A nicely decorated and comfortable hotel. Conveniently located for the train station and an oasis of quiet in an otherwise busy city. We fully embraced the eco approach of the hotel.

Close to the train station, but not good for restaurants and bars. Room was clean but got very hot & air con didn't cool the room at all. Had to open windows at night and the room filled with mosquitoes so we still couldn't sleep. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered & the room was small & over-crowded so it was hard to get to the food. Overall, I was disappointed and found it poor value for money.

My room had a princess balcony that opened on to a pretty courtyard with an orange tree. Despite being in the centre of town, a 3-minute walk from the station, it was lovely and quiet. Room was comfortable and had its own mini coffee machine. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was a surprise. There was a whole table full of home-made sweet and savoury dishes: tarts, filled croissants, crême caramel, clafoutis, breads, as well as the yoghurt, fruit, French cheeses and hams in the fridge. Well worth the extra 20 Euros. My air conditioning didn’t work, which wasn’t really a problem, as it wasn’t all that hot that week. Am just mentioning it so it can be fixed for the hot summer. I’ll be back!

This property would have got a 5rating from me except for two items. The first was the air conditioning was not turned on for the entire building. This forced us to keep the window open or close the window with the temp getting 75 . We opted to open the window. Some type of bug got to us (confirmed by doctor at a local clinic) and both my wife and I got 30 bites on the face and shoulder. We had to keep the window closed after that and so nights were hot and sticky. Breakfast was good and the property maintained well.
