Leonardo Hotel Dublin Christchurch

This hotel needs a serious remodel. It is in what I say a great location to everything you may want to do in Dublin. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Lovely hotel, we got a ground floor room, one of the lights was broken in the room but otherwise a nice stay

For a twin room we found it a bit cramped - virtually no space between the beds. A small fridge would have been nice. For the price paid it could have been a bit more contemporary. Communal spaces and lounge were nice and did feel a bit more contemporary than the room.

Staff is overwhelmed and takes it out on customers with a very rude and passive aggressive manner. I immediately checked my family out of the hotel for this exact reason.

This is a handy hotel to stay in Dublin.

Hotel was clean and tidy, well located with a carpark. Only negative was the excessive heat. Receptionist informed me that air conditioning was being installed in every room, so should not be an issue in 2025.

Very good location with the view of the cathedral. Room is clean.

The hotel is in a great location allowing us to easily walk all around the Temple Bar area and over to Trinity College and taxi service was plentiful when we needed it. The front desk was prompt and courteous and the room service was perfect. We included breakfast with our room and found the service friendly and attentive with a variety of options for everyone in our group. One tip - bring a door stop if you would like the bathroom door open as it is on a hinge which forces it closed. It can be a little loud getting in and out when someone else may be sleeping.

I was not advised that this hotel was undergoing refurbishment at the time I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend. I also received a missed phone call from the hotel at 8pm the night prior to the stay. I rang and was advised that a manager would ring back. They didn’t. I made contact again the next day, after 5 international telephone calls and the first day of the stay, to find out that they had overbooked the hotel rooms and wanted us to move to one of their sister hotels. Apparently overbooking rooms is common practice as people cancel although this has never happened to me with any other hotel. As they had gone on to find another person to move out of the hotel, my son ended up with his correct booking. I was however, very unimpressed with their pre-stay administration and lack of communication the night before. I spent a worried night thinking my son’s trip would be affected the next day. My son and his girlfriend did stay in the correct room, which was fine, but did report that there was building noise from about 8.30am each day. I would hesitate before booking this hotel again.

The room carpet was so dusty. But other part of the room is clean enough.

Business trip, hotel was fine, great location

I stayed in a superior deluxe room, the room itself was great and had lots of space. The only part that let it down was the bathroom, did not feel modern or superior!

Great location and price. Nice lobby with restaurant and bar. Friendly staff. Fit our needs perfectly.

Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. We had a family room, with a double bed and sofabed. The sofabed wasn't particularly comfortable and the shower pressure was quite low. Also, the vending machine on our corridor for drinks etc didn't seem to be working. Breakfast was nice, as we're evening meals at the restaurant.
