While I'm a regular visitor to Kobe (and former resident of Hyogo-ken), I'd never stayed at the hotel before. I didn't know it at the time of reservation, but it's a licensed Sanrio Hotel. It didn't matter to me, but I think families with young kids, should probably check it out as an alternative to lots of other hotels. Yes, Rokko Island is a bit inconvenient for most tourists, but it's affordable, got big rooms, has the Sanrio stuff and the area is very nice and not crowded.

ウェディング用のチャペルやガーデンなどもあり、素敵な雰囲気のスペースがありました！アメニティは必要なものだけをフラントで取るという方式だったので、助かりました！→竹歯ブラシを持参していたので、全くゴミを出さず、エコに過ごす方ができました！ありがとうございました◎

六甲アイランドの立地だったので、閑静で過ごしやすかったです。部屋の窓からの夜景はきれいでした。

It’s too far from other attractions. The standard double room is part of the suite. It has a wooden door in the middle and has no sound insulation function.

It was a little difficult to check in since nobody spoke English, nor Spanish, nor French and we had a little problem with reservation. So it took nearly an hour to sort things out (using Google translate). The hotel in general feels dated and worn out and in need of urgent TLC. We were there for only one night, so we chose to ignore that the hotel wasn't great and to have a good time instead

Despite it being old, service is good and it’s also clean. But it’s old. Water pressure is low, tv is old and only some channels are working, no ventilation in the bathrooms, etc.

In a great location if you need to be on Rokko Island, the hotel is very serviceable but the facilities are starting to show their age. Great if you’re looking for an “analog” hotel experience without digital locks, thermostats, or other 21st century features.

This hotel is well past it’s best. The entire hotel feels old and a bit grubby. Nothing has been done to improve the rooms for decades. The breakfast on the other hand was outstanding and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The location is fairly inconvenient as it is located on an island that has very little to offer either a tourist or business traveler.

Initial impression, hotel seemed dated.
Went into the bathroom, toilet had blood and what seemed to sperm floating in the water, as well as urine on the seat.
The staff cleaned the toilet with her bare hands and proceeded to touch everything on her way out.
Absolutely disgusting.
In typical Japanese fashion, failed to admit there was a problem, and merely said now it is clean.

We had a lot of trouble with check in and the lady working the desk was not only unhelpful in getting our problem straightened out, she also seemed annoyed to have to take care of us and help us. It took nearly two hours just to check in and get to our room. And all through this process it was clear that she did not want to help us or move the process along. The room was okay, but very dated and needs to be updated. There wasn’t much to do near hotel and we had to take train back to main island to do anything, so location wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or choose it again.
