Loved our corner room on the 8th floor! We were overlooking the city and felt like we were kings. The room had two full walls of windows; exceptional! It was decorated with lots of fun color too. The hotel was also right on the street with great places for dinner; could walk to several great spots. Had great parking as well.

This is a GEM , modern and chic. I was extremely impressed with the place . All my friends loved it on social media. It’s close to so much and walking the neighborhood is a blast.

Not the best experience.
We were told the elevator was inoperable and we could cancel our reservation as soon as we walked in. Then right after the representative mentioned another elevator that was operational.
This is not a very welcoming first impression.
We had to ask for our VIP perk. And no upgrades or early check in was available.
The room was good sized and clean. But the extra toilet paper was located in the closet. Who would look for it there when you needed it?
And on the second day, the room wasn’t refreshed even by 2pm. We had to ask for service.
I wasn’t impressed by this hotel at all.

Naumi Hotel is a clean and decent boutique hotel. They have self check-in as well as a few staff at the reception to assist, where necessary. The service is professional and polite but not warm.
The room itself (on 6th floor) is clean and spacious, with a small kitchen sink. But the shower area is way too small (and I'm a petite Asian woman) and the drain cover is rusty. I made the mistake of looking up at the vent of the exhaust fan above the shower area and felt really uncomfortable at the accumulated dust/dirt in it.
On the last 2 days of my 5 night stay (a Friday), the one and only lift broke down and stayed damaged till Sunday when I checked out. The hotel staff came to help with our luggage on the day we checked out. But even though there is a lift the adjoining Naumi Apartments, it went only to the fourth level. So we had to climb up and down 2 levels for a few days. I'm not sure if people with knee joint issues might be able to manage in such circumstances.

We had an extremely short stay since our ferry from the South Island to the North Island was delayed by almost 7 hours. So we didn't check in until 5am the next day. The staff was accommodating and adjusted the check-in very quickly. The beds and room were comfortable. However the shower was a bust. It's a fishbowl type of shower with two doors. When the doors close and water doesn't drain, you get a fishbowl. When you open the door, the water drains out and the floor stayed wet. Even the next morning. Aside from that, I'm sure the hotel is fine. We just weren't there long enough.

Overall a good experience. Staff were friendly and the room decor was great. Detracting from our stay was an absolute fiasco with the parking. Despite calling ahead to check if there was parking, we got there an hour later and it had booked out. The alternatives close by meant shifting the car by 8am which none of the staff seemed to know. The one they recommended only allowed for a maximum of 12 hours so we couldn’t park there. Ended up parking miles away on Tory Street. Strange bathroom for the huge room - shower over bath with a tiny little screen which meant water went everywhere. There’s room for a larger bathroom with a walk in shower too. Also pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper - noise from Cuba Street went quite late
