Rooms were great, layout was well thought out. Very clean. Wonderful customer service. They treated our children very well. Great location close to the beach just walk down the boardwalk. Great views. Definitely recommend. Would return again

Great hotel. Attentive service with good facilities, great views on the beach side and easy access to the beach. Great for families with a kid’s zone in the restaurant and lots of activities for them to do. Food in the restaurant is of high quality for both breakfast and dinner with lots of choice. Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The hotel was immaculately clean with great facilities. The breakfast was outstanding. The indoor spa was so relaxing and very reasonably priced to use. The outdoor pool, pool bar and pool area was great. There is not a lot to do in Altura but its a very quaint and peaceful little village and lots to do in the surrounding areas although taxis are quite pricey. Some fantastic places to eat within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Bar staff and waiting staff were very friendly. The 24 hour reception staff were very helpful with the exception of one lady. If you like peace and quiet this hotel is the perfect place. There is no entertainment and very few children/activities. I took my teenage son who was bored at times but was a perfect place for me for a relaxing break in a beautiful and classy hotel. The beach is 1 minute walk from the hotel and is the most stunningly beautiful beach. The surroundings of the hotel are also very pleasing. Only negative is the cat poo on the grass behind the sunbeds at the pool side which isn't pleasant on a hot day but I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay. Portugal is an amazing place

This is actually 4 1/2 stars. We are on the 7 the floor. The view is amazing from our balcony. Our room is large, clean and comfortable. The bed is a super king and is quite comfortable. In the room is a safe, fridge and a coffee maker. There is no kettle for making tea but staff are great and provided one on request. The public areas in the hotel are clean and comfortable. There is dining inside and out. There is a small but well equipped gym, an indoor pool (as well as the outdoor one) and a sauna. Massages available. The buffet breakfast is good as is the evening buffet. I took half a star of 5 stars because the one thing that is not great is the hot food at the evening buffet. It can be a bit dry and mass produced. However, it is still worth having. We have enjoyed it time here, especially in the garden and going for walks along the newly built boardwalk which goes quite a long way.
