Kimpton DA AN HOTEL, an IHG Hotel

Wonderful place to stay for a few days!

Fantastic location! We stayed here and at the W Taipei during our trip and I preferred the location of the Kimpton over the W.

Great hotel with excellent staff. Wonderful service. Very good design and a great location to base yourself in Taipei. Highly recommend.

An upmarket business hotel so not recommend to bring spouse/partner. The room is a little small (hence the business hotel) but has everything. Heard the restaurant Tavernist is excellent, we couldn't get a table because it was fully booked. Perhaps the hotel can be kind enough to offer/suggest to the stay guests?

Kimpton da an has been my favor for years. The essential of it should be outstanding service they have provided to the travelers, not to mention about the location and condition of rooms. Highly recommended for sure.

The hotel lied about having a no pets allowed floor. When I walked in, I was itching a little. Then I got a bite from sitting on the sofa chair. Then my aunt got a rash and bumps on her ankles and itching. The tile floors had mold and mildew on it. It's a nice hotel, but too expensive for having to put up with dirty animals in it. Normally, I would never book a pets allowed hotel, but I didn't have any options around that area. I gave it a try, but will never do it again.

Loved the hotel. Staff were lovely and the afternoon drink and nibbles get together was a lovely event. The location is perfect with great eateries and shopping, plus close to the metro system to get to anywhere you want to go.

Love, love, love the Kimpton Da’an. Close to the metro, great amenities, and lovely staff. Worth every cent.

Great hotel

Absolutely amazing stay. The staff was very attentive - the concierge helped secure dinner reservations and even surprised me with a birthday gift. Love the daily happy hour and walkability

Loved the location (3 minutes walk to station) and the spaciousness. Breakfast at the Tavernist was fantastic - not the usual buffet but Taiwanese options and nicely done French toast etc, plus good coffee with latte art. Loved our stay

Great hotel

Great location, super friendly and helpful staffs, highly recommended for visiting Taipei city. (Parking is almost convenient as well)

Rather disappointing for one of the most expensive hotels in Taipei. Room was rather basic (a lot of the plug sockets would not work properly, no wardrobe and few coat hangers on the open space version they had) and clinical although that seems to be the Kimpton brand. Staff are very nice although check in process is a little fussy and wish could just do it at desk rather than made to sit and wait etc. Location is great and main reason I stayed here. I was hoping this would replace my old favourite hotel - Home Hotel Daan (which was around the corner, much cheaper but above this in every way but sadly closed during covid) - for the business trips I do 4-5 times a year to Taipei. Biggest thing preventing this though is that they have no changing room or shower on offer - so no way to wash etc if you have a late flight and checked out. This seems very common at such expensive hotels so surprised here. I did ask the friendly staff how I could feedback on this and given a weblink to feedback on but that link never worked hence the review here will have to do instead (sorry Kimpton!) Finally, I would also prefer a cheaper "without longe access" option as dont get to make the use of that most times due to work and if below the crucial 6,000 NTD a night mark most me and my business colleagues use would be more likely to use and stay in future. As it is they seem very happy to be tourist orientated rather than business
