Superb service

The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They are so accommodating and helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel to all my colleagues, friends and family. I absolutely love their French toast. Is a MUST TRY. Cafe Un Deux Trois I come here for breakfast even if I’m not staying. That’s how good they provide the best for their customers.

Beautiful room, very comfortable and elegant. Also lots of little surprises including a welcome tea at check-in and evening turn down service.

Outstanding hotel and service

The staff at the Mandarin were very helpful and the room we stayed in was beautiful. I loved that the hotel was a central location but not in the heart of a busy area!

Reception gave me the wrong key to a room of another guest. The shopping arcade was pretty empty.

What a beautiful property this was pure luxury, well staffed with attentive personnel. All the amenities we needed for our trip we’re available at our fingertips. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable.

Very good

The hotel needs to improve maintenance on their property. I was almost severely injured while taking a shower. Part of the marble slab was loose and fell as showering. No pressure was applied on that area during the stay but yet it fell. Luckily I only had a small scratch which I discovered the next day. I am disappointed in the organization of mandarin oriental Taipei. I have stayed at other locations such as Hong Kong which has substantially better service. The main point is this hotel smells like mold or too much water stuck in the hvac system. The exterior is wonderful but everything about inside and the service is eh. There are a lot of staff. More than necessary but maybe communication was an issue. After the issue of falling marble. I asked a manager to write me an email asking how it fell and etc. no action was taken/no apologies besides me ranting to the concierge (who was polite). I really like the place but the hotel needs heavy Renovation and should fix its air freshener system/hvac. Ultimately staff seemed abundant and were nice along accompanying most needs. However there is no need for that many staff for this type of service. Be careful when staying at this hotel as certain areas may collapse. Recommend renovating the hotel and ensuring the safety of its customers. Will not come back unless change of ownership or renovation.

Very good service. Need more dining options though

Was disappointed with the property and service for a number of reasons: 1. Our luggage did not come to our room until we called to ask about it. 2. Toilet room does not have ventilation or air conditioning. When inquired, we were offered a fan and recommended to keep the door open after doing our business. Hard to believe as this is a luxury 5 Star hotel. I’d be embarrassed to invite any guests to our room. 3. We requested to extend our checkout time by one hour, and was DENIED. We will reconsider staying at this hotel again or recommend anyone.

Absolutely marvelous. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Services are available around the clock, and every request is handled professionally and cordially. The hotel staff will go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. The room is so beautiful and full of amenities that you’ll forget about the city you’re visiting and just want to stay in all the time. My only complaint is about the WiFi connection, which could definitely be improved, especially considering the business-oriented clientele.
