The hotel is on a big street and would be easy to find if you give taxi driver the address and make sure they use the GPS. MRT station is fairly close but the walk is a bit tough in the hot and humid weather. Lobby is fine. All amenities are standard. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Shower was in a wet room with a tub. Water pressure was good. Easy check out. Staff super friendly and helpful.

It’s an example of an Old World Hotel, the room was very large with great views. However you could see that just enough money was being spent on the place to keep it going. It smelt old and musty, fixtures were broken. The breakfast was of poor to average quality, and if you wanted to have a coffee in the coffee shop there was a minimum spend per person that was way more than a coffee!! The major issue is the location, you need a 20-30 minute taxi ride every time you want to go to Kaohsiung, as there is nowhere to eat close to the hotel.

It's a very nice hotel with character but it's old. You get the antique furniture and historical vibe. The beds are extremely hard to sleep on. The worst part is the lack of sound proof, they need to fix the patio doors, its so loud and you hear the doors opening and closing. Can't sleep due to hearing all the noise from everywhere! POOL is huge. Buffet was okay.

Love the pool, the balcony and the sunrise views. Breakfast food is not hot enough and it’s ok, room is nice and clean. Wish the trail to the lake is open, we walked along the busy street to get there

It was our first time to stay there. Although it is a little far from downtown, the front desk staffs were very helpful to manage our transportation and explain how to take public transportation. The room was big with high ceiling. The building is a little old, but the staff members hospitality compensated well.

This hotel is truly a blast from the past. However, that does entail that the hotel rooms need to be renovated somewhat as nearly everything is from the 1970s. It is worth noting though that the number of facilities within the hotel grounds is quite large. They even have a tennis court and a driving range. It is definitely an interesting hotel and worth checking out
