The setting amongst the ruins and lush gardens is simply stunning; the newer buildings are subtle and fit in well, and the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. The restaurant didn't have a really big range of vegetarian options but sufficient, and what they served was excellent. A sunset cocktail on the restaurant deck was a great moment in life. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. They found some items I'd misplaced and kept them safe until I was able to collect them, and they also helped me to find a couple of local contacts for my trip, which was very helpful. The location is convenient for the airport, less than 10 minutes without traffic, and it's 15 minutes' drive into old Stone Town.

I’ve never spent a night here but I am a regular for the Wednesday movie nights and I’ve visited the restaurant from time to time…the food is organic and delicious, the portions are great and the service is good too. Film enthusiasts will love the Wednesday movie nights as they show a varying genres..there’s an abundance of snacks and drinks too! It’s also a great space to network!

I haven’t stayed here but regularly go for lunch or dinner. The setting is beautiful, especially when the sun is setting. Food is great with a good range of choices. Service is friendly and polite. Highly recommended!

We came here for food and drinks twice. Once at the beginning of our trip and for our last meal in Zanzibar because we realised, after travelling all over the island, that this place had the best food we experienced. Prices are also reasonable. $3 for a beer when the restaurant next door charges double that. Highly recommend coming here even if it's just for a meal.

Stayed 5 nights in September in the Junior suite. I would like to compliment the staff who were very accommodating and caring toward us. Notably, Sam, who worked in the restaurant and made sure that our food allergies would not be an issue. For our last meal before leaving, he gathered flowers and decorated our table. A truly kind gesture. We will miss everyone at the hotel and restaurant. Always smiling and working hard. Food was unreal and rooms were clean.
