Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered room upgrades, which we really appreciated. The room had a patio with lovely furniture, overlooking the pool. Our room was large and included a large couch, table and chair for dining. Room service was a plus.

Love this hotel. Great location, very clean and friendly staff. We took our dogs with us this time and the pet-friendly rooms were also very well kept. We visit Carmel every year and this is our favorite place to stay.

I loved this hotel, it was clean and modern. Some of my favorite places are walkable. Side note: I’m allergic to dog dander. I knew this hotel was dog friendly from the gecko but i requested a room that hopefully no dog has been in but I had an allergic reaction around my eyes our last night (I forgot to take allergy medicine). I would’ve hoped they’d have rooms that dogs were not allowed in but maybe I shouldn’t have booked here.

I love this place! I stayed here for the first time with my husband when we got married in 2018 and we have stayed here many times since, including on our babymoon in 2021. We stayed here just recently and we noticed it still has some cute decor and definitely has been renovated on the outside. The room itself was kinda bare but had a comfortable bed and a nice TV. My only complaint is that prices have exponentially increased since 2020/2021 (as they have many hotels) and there are some extra fees that were once included in the price of the room. I was charged $90 more than quoted…$30 for self parking, $10 for wifi, and $50 hold. Self parking and wifi were once free but oh well i guess times have changed… i still enjoy coming to this hotel when i just need a little getaway to Carmel.

No heat lamp in bathroom. Heater in room faces bed, the rest of the room is cold. Not enough places to put your stuff. There was room to put more furniture in the room but they didn’t. No explanation on how to use remote control shades.

We stayed on the second story of the building, there was no elevator and no one to help bring our luggage up to our rooms. They had luggage carts that of course cannot go upstairs, We had large suitcases and lots of luggage, we were a group of 6. The windows are not soundproof and our room was next to the pool. Loud children playing in the pool. So I would never had stayed there if I had known there was no elevator. The stairs were outside and wet because it was raining.

Excellent welcome. We have stayed here over numerous years. We like it’s motor lodge convenience paired with traditional hotel comforts. Disappointingly this MOTEL style hotel, now charges for parking. Proximity to Carmel village without the hassles.
