A perfect manhattan hotel. A little dated in places but super convenient for a conference I was attending at the Midtown Hilton which is a short walk away.

The hotel rooms were very spacious. Had a nice king size bed with a couch and a chair rooms were very very nice

The hotel is north of the craziness of Times Square but close enough to walk to any theater, eating establishments and Central Park. Rooms were clean. The hotel could be a little more generous with larger size shampoo, etc…. I’ve never seen such small sizes. Also, towels could be a bit fluffier. The same with the pillows.

Room reserved wasn't available. Had to be put in 2 rooms for the first night. Then check out by 11. Leaving us without a room for a few hours the next day. VERY INCONVENIENT. No hot water available Mon night/Tue morning. Also, very loud Street noise.

Missed a restaurant and lobby could use some new carpeting and furniture.

Great service, clean room and great area.

Second time staying here. Great location. Close to subway and walkable to many areas. Staff was friendly. Property is a little older but it’s clean.

This was an absolute horrible experience. Our shower and sink were broken, desk chair had two huge rips, shower curtain was broken and stained, white towel HAD A BROWN STAIN

The staff were excellent at this hotel. Couldn’t do enough as there was a problem with the room. The rooms were dated and sofa was supposed to be blue, but had a very worn dirty look to it. The hotel will be amazing with a new sofas and chairs and a redecoration.

Location is great, local to Time Square, Central Park and everything in between. Property definitely needs a good renovation, you feel this property is very old. They could also use more staffing because we called so many times before we arrived and never got an answer, even while we stayed and called from the room we got no answer. Room was very roomy for our family of 5 we also have a mini kitchen and big bathroom which was great but AC didn’t work and we didn’t feel like going downstairs again to call someone. If they just renovate a little and invest in upgrading everything this would be the ideal place to stay.

Great staff and great location. The location was perfect as everything was walkable. The only problems were they seriously need to sound proof the windows. They should also update the accommodations. Shabby Sheik is cool but not when it is torn or broken. The curtains were torn with holes in them as well as my towels. The staff was great and I would go back.

I read horror reviews so was really worried about what we would find. Firstly, location is fantastic. Size of the room is great. Yes, it is dated but that's not a deal breaker for me. There were some things that definitely let the experience down. We had 1 towel in our room for 4 people. I asked for more towels which were sent up. But the next day those 4 towels were taken and replaced with... 1 towel. So from then on I tried to catch the housekeepers cart to grab the towels myself. Such a silly thing for them to repeatedly get wrong. Also insufficient toiletries and crockery for 4 people. Showers were great first few days.but after that barely warm. The quilts on the beds did not have quilt covers - just the bare quilt with a sheet underneath. Staff were friendly with each interaction and happy to assist with baggage on our day of checkout for $2 a bag. It was safe and clean with a great location. Shame those other things brought down the experience.

I arrived on the morning of November 12, checked out November 18. Of the six mornings I was there, there was no hot water for three of the mornings — that’s 50% of the mornings that I was there. I actually had to go to a salon for a wash and blow dry, a rather pricey alternative to having running hot water in my room. November 17 was the worst, as hot water was not restored until the afternoon.

Helpful staff

The hotel was convenient to everything in mid town manhattan. The room was very spacious for our family of five. The furniture is definitely outdated however if you can overlook that then you will like this hotel.

This was a 4 night stay....The rooms were a good size considering the location. We even had room for an additional twin size air mattress. We booked the room for 4 people but we never received more than 3 washcloths after repeatedly asking for them. They brought us additional linens while we were out which included an ample supply of hand towels which we ended up having to use as washcloths. We ran out of toilet paper by the last day of our stay because they never replaced the empty roll. Price was good for the location compared to nearby hotels considering the time for our stay...but don't have too high of expectations.
