With the ground ticket, we could enjoy the area around Borobudur Temple and see its splendor up close. The atmosphere was also comfortable for walking around and enjoying the views. Borobudur is truly impressive in person—the size and detail of the temple are far more impressive than just seeing it from photos. 🤍 Overall, today's experience was well worth it and was one of the highlights of my trip to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended to buy the Borobudur entry tickets here via the app so that you don’t have to queue at the ticket counter there. Unfortunately for foreigners, you can only purchase the more expensive tickets that include the access up the temple. Locals can purchase the cheaper tickets for the temple grounds access only.

Had a wonderful time exploring around Borobudur temple. We did not go up because we were tired and we had been there before. We spent time seeing things just around the area. It is clean and it has many benches where we can rest when we are tired.

The staff was very helpful. We had a wonderful experience with just a small group consisting of 5 people. The staff was very detailed in explaining the stories.
