Not only did you admire the beautiful architecture and views, but you also learned about the history of the temple itself, from its construction to its current restoration. The temple tour package, which includes a tour guide, fully explains everything. The temple grounds are very clean and well-maintained, with numerous trees, making it quite cool to relax under. However, the temperature can get quite hot and blazing due to the sun, so it's recommended to bring or rent an umbrella. Parking for motorbikes and cars is also quite affordable, clean, and tidy, making it a truly enjoyable experience. The staff and tour guides were also very friendly and helpful when needed. The queues tended to be quite short even during high season, but thanks to online booking and the staff's responsiveness, the wait times were very short. Overall, a visit to Borobudur Temple was a truly extraordinary experience. It's definitely worth the price.

Back to Borobudur after 18 years. Very well managed now, easy for ticket redemption, plenty of attendant who guides your way. Good traffic mgt, we're split into group of 20? ppl w/a guide. Ample time to enjoy Borobudur with knowledgable guide. A bit confusing is the free museum tix, which we skipped eventually cause already late afternoon.Recommended !

This is my second time to Borobudur, but the facilities are much better now than they were 10 years ago. However, the exit from the temple is too far and the signs are lacking. There are no shelters on the way home, and no staff on standby to provide information. And when it rains, renting an umbrella, which is usually 5,000 Rupiah, becomes 20,000 Rupiah per umbrella. 😁😁

I had to go around looking for the location because the map directed me to the VIP entrance, but finally I found the new entrance, all the staff were very kind and friendly, from the parking lot to the top of the temple all the staff were very helpful, the area is very spacious but I didn't get confused because the staff guided me, I bought my tickets at Traveloka so I didn't have to queue to buy tickets on site

More organized. More comfortable. Because there's a different ticket system (courtyard only or all the way up to the structure), it's more organized. Tour guides are also provided to talk about Borobudur Temple, so you're not just sightseeing but also learning. Those who purchase tickets up to the temple structure are given a small bottle of mineral water and upanat (special sandals). Don't forget to bring a hat (available from vendors here), an umbrella (or rent one), and a mini fan.

During the holiday season, it's really busy queuing to get on the shuttle... but it's safe and doesn't take too long.
