The ticket exchange process is very easy, just scan the barcode at the entrance, Only the distance from the parking lot to the entrance/ticket location is quite far, For toddlers it is better to use a stroller, for the elderly it is also recommended to use a wheelchair, There is a free shuttle car, but from getting off the shuttle car to the temple the distance is still far, so we added a horse-drawn carriage (1 horse-drawn carriage 100 thousand for about 5 people), there is also a paid shuttle car 20-25 thousand / person There is a special lane up and down to the temple yard for strollers. And the special lane down is very close if you go through the stroller/security side lane.

Ticket includes English speaking guide who tells you the history of Borobudur. You will get a free slipper to be used there.

The place is getting tidier and the atmosphere is fresher, but now you can't go into the temple from the morning anymore

When I left my cellphone on the motorbike dashboard and at that time I was on the way in the shuttle to the main area of Borobudur, I was escorted back with a quick response I was escorted back to the motorbike parking lot and thankfully my cellphone was still there. There was also a guide who was professional in knowledge about the temple and visitors were limited to 1200 people a day, but I was very satisfied especially for photos or videos not too many people like in 2016 and 2018. Oh yes for the online ticket at 8.30 WIB, mine was forfeited because I came late and I bought it at the counter again for 11.30 WIB.

didn't feel too crowded despite there being lots of school kids. Tour guides are nice and speak English although due to a miscomm, ours waited for us at the base instead of the top level, resulting in confusion. Nice temple that is slightly smaller than the Angkor Wat complex but Bagan, Myanmar still is the best.
