I had come to Calgary for an event at the Saddledome. I stayed for 2 nights at the Marriott Downtown. It is very centrally located in the downtown area. It was clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay here if I return to Calgary.

Very noisy air conditioner system .. very difficult to sleep

Hotel is nice, plan $50/day extra for parking. Area was quite noisy.

The Marriott was convenient for our needs

Minute walk to Calgary tower. Valet person helpful. But not the front desk very snubbed!

Great location

I booked for 2 nights and checked out the morning of the first night. Bed was hard, street noise from the 14th floor was loud. I had a shower in the morning and the water went from a nice temperature to scalding hit to freezing cold, amd took way too long to stabilize again. When I tilted my head back to wash my hair I noticed mildew on the ceiling of the shower. When I turned to rinse my face, I noticed blood and pubic hair on the celiling. Thoroughly grossed out, I got out of the shower at that point and while toweling off, I noticed the front of the bathroom counter hadn't been wiped in some time. I could have dealt with the hard bed and street noise but the shower tipped me. I checked out at that point, and didn't stay the second night.. I took pictures and made management aware and requested a refund, which was declined. Although I was offered to change rooms, I was grossed out enough that I just wanted to leave. I will *never* stay at another Marriott again, and I *will* be telling others.

Nice enough place. Overpriced for what you get. They did give us early check in. Staff were great. Would definitely choose one of the other hotels in the area next time.

I had a wonderful experience, from the staff to the room and all other amenities including 118 empire. Would absolutely stay at this location again.
