The front desk service was amazing and wonderful to work with. The room was clean and had many outlets for charging phones etc.

I've stayed at great places such as The Grand Hyatt and The Plaza in NYC. This time my budget was not that. The location is central to everything in the area. The people are nice, as are the rooms. I didn't have a problem with any noise being on the bottom floor. If there was any issue, the parking's a bit tight. If I need to stay in the area again and my budget is similar, I'll stay there.

What an unexpectedly delightful stay! Given that the Palo Alto Inn a) is a motel and b) offered such affordable rates, we were assuming it would be a pretty standard issue experience, which would have been perfectly adequate. But we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The staff and service are extremely welcoming, and the room was full of thoughtful touches I wouldn’t have expected. Wonderful shower. Great lighting. Top quality bedding (and plenty of pillows) and towels (and plenty of them). Extra blankets in the closet. Conveniently placed charging/power outlets. Free snacks. A sweet little holiday card. And of course, the place was impeccably clean. It’s a small family-run business and they’re doing a tremendous job in a location with a lot of competition. We will be back for sure next time we need a place to stay in the area.

Pros: * Okay service. Clean. Safe. Top location. Some snacks and water at the reception but limited hours. Cons: * Poor check-in experience, they just don’t like to work after 8pm, no one was at the reception for a long while. Almost left to look for another hotel and cancel Palo Alto Inn booking. * an old building, zero sound insulation, if your upstairs neighbor is walking around in the middle of the night, say goodbye to your sleep. Overall ok motel but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Amazing little hotel!

After two long nights at the hospital, we jist needed somewhere to crash for the night. The hotel was close and affordable. The young man who greeted me created "magic" (his words) by getting me a room on the ground floor to avoid stairs for us. He offered snacks (free) and we walked in to an immaculate room. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet and we slept.like.babies. You wont be disappointed!

Friendly staff and snacks with no extra charge!

Staying in room 119 to my memory. The bed was not really comfortable and the pillows weren’t comfortable either. But what really made the stay the worst was that at night the heater was not working properly. I called an attendant to help but the system still acted sporadically after 20 minutes nothing and then after another 20 only hot air would blow and then upon lowering on the remote one degree the whole system shut off, it never even came back on. They even brought me an additional heater and it overheated and would not turn back on. I was extremely tired to deal with this but I was shivering. I even used the extra blanket that was in the room but I was still cold. The next day the manager told me this was a one off and that he would check the unit. He offered me a discounted stay next time, but I told him I don’t come up to these parts. All he offered was a bottle of wine and I don’t even drink. The only positive for this room was the bath and the shower. Shower pressure was good. As for breakfast included it’s just basically snacks not really a breakfast in my humble opinion. Since I didn’t drink I asked to take 3 popcorns with me for my drive home.

This property is fantastic! I will stay here again. They provide spotless rooms, they provide drinks, extra toiletries,, etc.

Well exceeded expectations. Rooms were excellent and the hospitality of staff and the attention to conveniences like complimentary water, soda and snacks was much appreciated

Always a pleasant stay when we have to come to stanford children's. Office staff is always friendly, rooms are clean, and usually the hotel is pretty quiet.
