Was a great stay for my partners birthday. From the moment we spent in to the moment we left everything was exclusive, will definitely be my go to place to stay in Edinburgh

A Red Weather warning (danger to life) stopped us from travelling to W hotel for our special anniversary. Tried phoning hotel to explain and was told to contact Expedia. Tried contacting Expedia but unable to change or cancel booking! All our money lost! Every other organisation, theatre, train etc offered refund given the exceptional circumstances. Poor show from Expedia and W Hotel 😞

Room was amazing, member of staff at cocktail lounge upset me, and when booking out never got asked if we enjoyed our stay, apart from that all other staff was excellent

Lovely hotel fairy new so clean. On arrival we had 4 people ask us if we wished to have an arrival drink we said no 4x it was just a little much when trying to check in and felt overwhelming. We had someone take us to our room - again felt a little much I’m not into that! During our stay we felt there were maids coming into our room every couple of hours, topping up coffee, putting slippers out for us, giving more towels etc whilst this is fantastic they left behind there bags on occasion making me feel uneasy that people had been in our room when we popped out at every opportunity.

Lovely hotel, great service. Loved the room for me on my own but personally wouldn’t want to be sharing with someone else as the toilet and shower are in the room behind frosted glass. If you go to the toilet in the night a very bright night light comes on and takes a long time to go off lighting up the room.

All round excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable room. We didn’t use the restaurant for our evening meal as the menu online wasn’t that helpful. One restaurant being Japanese and another Brazilian we were left wandering what the menu would be like, so opted to eat away from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, and the options were quite abundant. Views were fantastic even on a very cold snowy day.

Front of house experience was excellent and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was excellent, clean and had everything that we needed. Was looking forward to breakfast but was let down by slow staff, incorrect order, delayed food coming once we’ve finished. Had to repeat the request so many times, not ideal. Food was adequate and had better at other hotels of a same star. Nice restaurant and view but let down by staff not being on the ball.

Just back from our stay at the W, overall great hotel and location! The room was beautifully styled with a fantastic shower. Only negatives were that we unfortunately had been left a dirty plate in the room and you could hear noise and doors slamming from the corridor. Would recommend for the location alone though.

The staff wasn’t helpful And I reported complain and they didn’t respond to it

A fantastic stay. Hotel has thought of everything. Only improvement is if you could expand on room service selection. Will definately stay again. Best sleep O have had for a long time.

The staff went above and beyond. The hotel is in a great location and easy to access and navigate the city centre. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back.

Great hotel, lovely rooms and food. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

Service wonderful as described in other reviews however the product doesn’t match the service. Don’t get me wrong super place if paying £200 but for £370/night - no breakfast, no access to spa and most important no separate bathroom - having a prefab toilet and shower in your bedroom with only a glass door isn’t surely 5 star luxury - not for us. Otherwise room fine but again not reflective of price imho.
