Sunrise mornings, waves crashing all night... doesn't get much better. Sufficiently stocked kitchen if you want to eat in.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the indoor hot tub. Warmest heated pool I’ve ever been in. My only complaint is the loud fan in the pool area. Had to shout to talk. Would have spent more time there if it weren’t for the fan. Bonus is that they waved the pet fee during Christmas. We will use hotel again in the future.

Blue Heron's location was convenient, good price, staff was pleasant, room was very clean and beach front. Not the newest hotel but that was part of the charm. We would go back again.

we loved the property! although a little older, and the walk up the stairs to the third floor was a little tiring. when we looked out from the balcony on to the ocean and seashore we were mesmerized by the beauty. Sound of the waves coming to shore, was and is so peaceful and centering. Large room, comfortable bed and just so peaceful and beautiful wow. WE didn't want to leave.

I didnt3 feel safe. There were some unsavory-looking characters there. 1st night someone tried the backdoor handle, then knocked ...2nd night a loud intoxicated man tried to get someone in next room to open the door by yelling every "female" curse word known to sailors! It scared me. I will never stay there again!

Perfect location with easy access to the beach. Spacious room. Nice balcony. But that concludes the positive things. The hotel needs A LOT of repairs that are being neglected. Holes in the walls, paint peeling off, broken balcony door latch, very low water pressure. The bed was uncomfortable & neither my spouse or I got much sleep, as a result. The lights on the exterior hallway stay on all night & shine into the room making it too bright at night. No housekeeping. And despite how spacious the room was there was only one tiny mirror, up against the corner above a tiny sink in the bathroom, not sufficient if there is more than one guest in the room or if you have any toiletries you need a decent space for. Great potential, if it's ever under new ownership by someone who cares about making their guests comfortable & feeling at home.

Spacious, clean room with a balcony that provided a great ocean view. Highly recommend!

The economy room is right over the office by the road and not connected to the rest of the motel. It was very comfortable and affordable, though not the most picturesque location. The hot tub was wonderful in the winter. Access to the beach was very easy.

It’s a motel… nothing fancy about it. Back door needs replacing. Pool was great. We had the indoor pool to ourselves.

Absolutely fantastic place!

The fact that this place was rated 8.2 on hotels.com greatly erodes any trust I might have had in their ratings. It is not a hotel. It is a run down motel, decades old, in shabby condition. The first problem was the room number began with “1” but was finally located on the third floor. There is no elevator. The steps are steep, have no real hand railings, and are slippery when wet. The room is shabby by my standards. I have traveled internationally and stayed in low and high graded hotels. The floor had a definite slope. The balcony doors were rusted and difficult to open. The furniture is shabby, inappropriate and generally unpleasant. The phone is not functional. The towels were inadequate and seemed worn or poorly laundered. The kitchen had a tiny microwave, two dish towels, no dish cloths, no napkins, no placemats, and filthy looking scraps of silverware. The next day, I expected the room would be cleaned, trash emptied, and the towels replaced. This did not happen. I discovered the room phone was dead when I tried to call the desk. So I called the hotel number on my cell. I asked the woman who answered for more towels, and she said I should come and get them in the office. I paid a premium price for this room for the area. This is no service at all. At that point I considered the fact that the entire town closes at 8pm and by 10pm the street is vacant. I’ve had enough beach and waves, and I have work waiting for me elsewhere. I packed up and checked out early.

Location was great, right on the beach. Lots of good restaurants nearby. We were on the ground floor and wore shoes inside due to sand. Didnt bother us though. Con of being so beach side. We never saw a single employee to get new towels or anything. But we only stayed thurs to sunday. So we survived. Walls are a little thin, we could hear neighbors showering. So maybe not a good place for light sleepers. We enjoyed the quiet pool and hot tub. Overall, would recommend for a quiet weekend beach trip.

I loved being able to walk right out of the room and to the beach. The rooms were clean. The staff at check in and out was friendly. I would stay again.

We stay here every year. Owners are wonderful. They’ve done some beautiful renovations. We love it and are looking forward to coming back next year.
