Club Quarters Hotel Downtown, Houston

Rude staff at check in . Room size was a little bigger than my Closet at home . Mattress was damaged making for an uncomfortable sleep. Price too high for the quality of the Hotel . Won’t be back

First room air and tv did not work. Hard to find property

I was so grateful that I found this property. It is exactly what I needed!

Great propertie

Wasn't what I expected. But not bad

Have never been to Houston before, and upon arrival, struggled to find parking. Called the hotel and selected the front desk option. The person who answered provided us with the address of the garage where could park and check-in, instructing to bring ticket for validation. However, when arrived at the front desk with ticket, was informed that they don't validate parking. Didn't receive room service on the following day, so called the number posted throughout the hotel. Unfortunately, no one answered, and subsequent text message was also ignored. Finally got through to someone after calling again, and they brought towels after 10 pm, at which time was in bed. To make matters worse, the toilet was broken. The handle had to be handled carefully to avoid it coming off, and the plug in the tank didn't close properly, causing the toilet to constantly run and refill noisily. On check out day ran out of toilet paper so just checked out early instead of hanging around. Had been looking forward to staying at this historic hotel, but the experience was disappointing. While its location was convenient for the 5K that was participated in, won't be returning. For future visits, will likely opt for a chain hotel in the area.

Pleasant stay, very easy booking process and helpful staff at the front desk. Plenty of bars and restaurants around.

Great hotel they had a self check in you paid with you card then they had blank room card. And you scanned them and activated them. You did not have to wait till check on time. Hotel rooms were neat and cozy/ small. I like them my wife and I were there for Houston marathon .40 from start line. Lots of food options around hotel. Right on the bus line as well to airport would stay there again.

Worth every penny

The hotel was pretty bare bones when it came to room amenities. My room didn't have a refrigerator or microwave, which meant I wasted a lot of food. Room service wasn't automatic, and you had to call and request it. While I loved having refillable water bottles, there was no ice machine and bucket. The coffee situation in the room was a pain. The fancy expresso machine was hard to figure out, and gave bitter coffee. There was a single expression machine in the lobby, which gave good coffee, but it was always running out of milk. There was no breakfast available. Still, the hotel is in an amazing location, next to two light rail lines. I used them to get to and from the marathon, and the location was a godsend.

Good location and easy to get around downtown area. Friendly staff. The hotel is a little dated and some homeless around the area.

Not bad

I ran the Aramco Houston Half Marathon this weekend. The hotel was filled with runners due to the location near both the start and finish. I had a suite which included a stove top, microwave, refrigerator. They also had silverware, plates and ceramic mugs. Incredible convenience at a reasonable price.

Close to good restaurants and courts

Great location right in downtown. Lots of restaurants, bars and other things to do nearby. I parked my truck in the garage and walked or rode public transportation the whole trip. Metro is just half a block away. The room was small but nice. I would have liked a real coffee maker instead of a Nespresso. But there was a cafe in the lobby so it wasn’t a huge deal. Door staff were really nice.

The overall stay was okay. I stayed at the hotel from Dec 30th- Jan 1st and it was nice but unfortunately we left a small bathroom bag at the hotel that had expensive items in it. when i called and they said they found a small bag and we had to try to verify if it was ours and was asked if it had a brand label on it and i said “no but i know exactly what was in there that can prove it is our bag” she said okay and once i explained what was in it (specifically saying the expensive items one by one) she proceeded to say, yes this is your bag and that those things were in there. When we got it shipped back to us, we noticed that the expensive items that i know were in there had been stolen OUT OF THE BAG! And when i called to tell them that those items had been stolen, they changed and said they never saw those items in the bag. This is disgusting behavior and i know that those items were in there because I PACKED PUT ALL OF THOSE ITEMS IN THAT BAG MYSELF. not to mention that one of the items which was a small retinol bottle, the cap was still in the bag, proving that those items were in there before someone had stolen them. every time i have called after that, they housekeeper has conveniently “not been there”.
