Checked in and asked for a room closer to parking lot because I had a dog. They put me at the furthest building possible from parking. I booked a patio so you could walk out - again because of the do. The room had a sliding door but zero chance you could walk out because layers and layers of shrubs blocked any path. Should not describe these as patio rooms. They are not. The room was basic but ok. I found four spiders in just the one night stay- 2 shook out of towels and two crawling by coffee maker. The Lido building is apparently right by the laundry room and truck so when trying to go to sleep, there was a loud machine noise accompanied by on-going beeping from a truck backing up. This wasn’t for just an hour. It was almost 3 hours. It didn’t stop until 11pm. Why the backup truck beeping noise had to continue doesn’t make sense. The very loud machine sounds of the laundry was disruptive to everyone in that building. We all discussed it. The front desk took 20 minutes to pick up the phone and then the man said - well that’s the laundry. It has to be that way: we can move you to another room (it was 11pm) but not sure what is available.
When I checked out the next morning, the woman at the front desk didn’t even speak words. She grunted. I asked her if there’s anything else I had to do besides turn in key and she shrugged and grunted.
I can’t believe this is a Hyatt property. Never ever staying here again. I would never recommend it to my company’s travel dept.

The hotel hasn’t been updated since the early 2000s. The ac next to my room made so much noise, I had to ask someone that worked there to unplug so could sleep. Room was dirty and pillows were not good quality. The walls between rooms were paper thin.

Chose this hotel for location near Balboa Island. Surprised that 1st room & area looked like cheap motel. Desk moved us to much nicer area & room. Self parking felt unsafe and like a surplus storage area.

The hotel was OK. Our stay was basic. The phone was broken. Champagne that we ordered was subpar. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom was pretty small for the Hyatt. The door was just a sliding door not much privacy. The balcony was nice and the staff was pretty cool.

Wet unhappy cleaning never came when I called at 3 pm to ask for service they said they would send someone and no one ever came also called to speak with a manager waiting for 10 minutes before someone came back to say he was busy and would call me back… no on ever called back
ALSO at checkout $50 a night for parking no body ever mentioned that fee at Expedia or at the hotel it was annoying and I felt taken advantage of needless to say we left and won’t be back
