Lake Norman Inn and Suites

Room was older with a grungy dirt. Elevator was broken during our stay.

Very good experience. Clean room, friendly staff. Lots of TV channels including MeTv. Highly recommend this establishment. .

OK, at this price point at Lake Norman, don't expect a Hilton. This property will definitely will be better than the two other budget properties across Catawba Ave. The older gentlemen checking us in really was a great example of excellent customer service. When we went to our room, there was a lot of "play" in the door catch. When I opened it up, it was obvious that the door was kicked in at some point. I was about to let that slide then I found out that the safety latch on the inside of the door was completely broken off (probably as a result of the kick in). That I couldn't let slide. I went back down, showed him a photo, explained the situation and he gladly moved my room and that room was much better. If you need a short stay getting off the interstate for a night, you probably aren't going to beat this property (in the sub $100 range). There is a ton close by (Starbucks, restaurants, gas stations and a Dollar Tree if you need water, snacks, etc.). The parking lot was well lit and at no point, did I feel the property was unsafe (Cornelius has an excellent police department).

For the price you get what you pay for. Staying a night sure, but wouldn't recommend anymore than that. Doesn't look like the owners want to invest the time or money to make it their own, and it shows.

Very reasonable rates. Nice place.

I tried to check out before 6am to get an early start on the rest of my trip and no one was at the desk from 4-6:30. Then I noticed other guest coming down for breakfast and finally I saw someone preparing the food bar at least.

Great Staff and Quality rooms

Room was clean, though there was hair in the tub drain. Staff was super friendly and courtious. Great location

I worked in the hospitality industry for over thirteen years and I have never stayed in hotel that didn't have any amenities in the room, no phone, no place to hang clothes, no microwave or refrigerator, no coffee maker. I was told by a member of the Lake Norman Inns and Suites that I could use the microwave the coffee maker in the common area. The smoke detector was missing!!!

The room was not clean (didn’t look like it had been vacuumed in a few days, very dusty). The light fixture between beds was not attached to the wall completely, the bathroom needs a re-do (tub faucet was rusted and dirty). The in room fridge had a loud compressor that cycled off and on.

One of the most disgusting hotel experiences I've had in quite some time. Literal pile of garbage in the room upon check in. Sticky substances and dirt scattered about. A bar of soap propping up a corner of the refrigerator. A discarded pacifier hanging from a lamp. Pubic hair stuck to things. Gross. Luckily staff gave me a new room when I showed them pics. The new room had an odd smell but I was too tired to complain further. Would not recommend

The room had an awful smell as if there had been smoking in the room. The room was supposed to be smoke free. The room had mold in the shower. The parking spaces were extremely narrow.

Stay was OK but lots of broken stuff in the room. 2 lamps not working, the doors on the closet broken and off the tracks, a dresser drawer, plus the room was a little musty smelling. Ac / heat unit was very loud . I would spend a little more next trip but hey, it was OK for the money.

It’s always a pleasure to stay here. I feel like family when I’m there. Very friendly and professional staff. Recommend highly!

Upon arrival I was chawed $3 for using Expedia to book.I've booked dozens of rooms with you and never experienced this. Please let me know if this was agreed to by you.

The water in the shower ran/dripped all the time. That said the shower was nice and hot. The lamp shade was broken. The towels were small but soft. The desk chair needed to go in the skip. The leather had long peeled off and the sitting chair needed a good scrub. I got some flip flops to wear in the shower. Some stains/marks needed to be scrubbed off the walls. Lastly when I made the reservation it said we could pay at the desk. Evidently this wasn't true and we were forced to scramble with a credit card number driving down the interstate. The desk clerk was very nice when we got to the desk.

Low price but not the cheapest near Lake Norman. The MicroTel was a cheaper option, and was cleaner/better maintained the last time I was there.
