Omni Austin Hotel

Great stay

I have never had a more friendly and helpful hotel staff, every one of them were amazing! Especially Diana! Easy walking distance to anywhere you want to hear live music. Or an equally easy Uber ride. We would easily stay here again!

I stayed at the OMNI for 3 nights during the beginning of January and our trip was a disaster. When we arrived at the hotel it was freezing. I can understand that Texas was going through a cold spell but we put the heat up in our room to 80 degrees and the room would not warm up. We were shivering all night even though we used the extra blankets in the room. The next morning the fire alarm started to go off and continued to go off for hours. Apparently the hotel was doing some fire alarm testing but no one informed us about it. When we inquired about it at the front desk they said that the maintenance staff should have left a note in our room about the testing but we didn't receive anything and neither did my friend who was staying in another room at the hotel. What is more shocking is that no one at the front desk informed us about the fire alarm testing when we checked in the night before. I had a big presentation to prepare for the next day that I couldn't work on it because of the insanely loud alarm that shrieked every 5 minutes. My mom who came with me experienced a huge migraine as a result that ruined the rest of the trip for her. The next day there was a foul smell in the corridor that got progressively worse as the day progressed. We advised the front desk about this and they put an air purifier in the hallway. This helped with the odor but we were worried about the air that we were breathing in.

It was wonderful! However if you’re going to park a car.. make sure you read up! Expensive to park

No regret staying here.

We were there for a swearing in ceremony at the Texas Capitol. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff friendly and helpful, the room lovely, and the service exemplary! Right in the middle of downtown Austin.

It’s a great place to stay, especially if you want to party on 6th street! The room was great, comfortable and clean. Being downtown you are close to most things and it’s only a short Uber ride or you can just go for a walk if you have the time to enjoy the great city of Austin

The annual fire alarm testing occurred the day after we arrived. It lasted for approximately 3 hours and I was not told in advance that they would be testing it. There was also a very bad smell emanating from the hallway. Finally, the dining space on the main level was very cold. I had to wear a jacket while eating breakfast.

Beautiful property. The room was renovated, very clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very helpful.

The proximity to Sixth Street.

Very nice hotel and very friendly. However we have a broken ac so even though it was cold outside our room stayed very hot. We could not get it to cool off which makes sleeping a bit difficult. Room service was not the best. Ordered breakfast and it was so salty we couldn’t eat much of it. Other than those two things it was excellent.

The Omni in Austin is one of the better properties to stay at! The staff was extremely kind and let me enjoy my trip without any hassle at all!

Decent location and the property was in pretty good shape. It's an older building with an atrium that was freezing cold in the restaurant. I'm not sure what you can do about that atrium....it's a relic not seen since the 1970s and 1980s construction of office buildings. Everyone was nice the service and food were great.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Austin close to the capital, good restaurants and other entertainment. Nice amenities in the hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful property, always stay at Omni hotels if possible, but the downtown Austin has by far been my favorite.

I liked the view from the balcony was very peaceful.
