If you are arriving/departing by train (Lucca) this is an excellent location as Hotel Rex is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is also very close to the city's renaissance walls. The hotel has whimsical decorations, a place for children to play, and a good breakfast. A table outside of our room had biscuits on it. I'm pretty sure other rooms had the same treat. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Outside the property was road construction, but it was not noisy.

Extremely dated hotel. Shocked on first arrival as used to more modern hotels but it grew on us with its old fashioned quirkiness.
Breakfast was very basic continental.
Great location for the station and the centre of Lucca.
Initial check in wasn’t particularly friendly but at other times staff welcoming and helpful.

Nel mio soggiorno nella camera 21, non c'era acqua calda e non è stato possibile fare la doccia. Inoltre, l'aria condizionata non funzionava. Spero che possiate risolvere questi problemi.

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Hotel hat für Familien viele Mehrbett-Zimmer und einige Spielzeuge für Kinder sowie ein kinderfreundliches Frühstücksbuffet.
Zimmer sind im Stil des Hotels, also mit alten Möbeln und Böden. Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Im Bad sind die Amaturen zum Teil abgenutzt oder kaputt, an der Decke ein bisschen Schimmel vermutlich von der Klimaanlage.
Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Stadtmauer und am Bahnhof. Leider aktuell mit Baustelle, daher ist die Umgebung ein bisschen schmutzig.
Parken konnten wir kostenlos direkt am Hotel, nebenan gibt es auch einen Parkplatz für 8 Eur am Tag.
Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen.
