Best Western Chicago Southland

My experience there was horrible. It took us almost 30 minutes to get checked in because they couldn’t find our rooms reservations, There were drug dealers and users in the lobby, Lobby seats had holes and what looked like dried up stains. Then when we got to the rooms they were horrible. The window panes were chipped had paint everywhere. The furniture was tore up carpet extremely dirty bathroom toilet dirty shower filthy. I wash my hands in the sink and the sink started leaking onto the floor.The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The second one didn’t have a lock on the door the small refrigerator was on the floor with the microwave stacked on top of it. The outlets weren’t covered weirs showing Families living there with the doors open going in and out of their neighbor rooms lol and i could go on. I have the pictures to prove that this isn’t made up. They’ll only allow me to upload 8 photos but they’re so much more.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in my entire life. It was dirty, the walls were not sealed at the window joints the floor was indescribable. Horrible, horrible stay. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED.

Walls are thin. Room had a funny smell, and floors/walls are a little dirty.

Just overall not a good experience. Things not working properly and dirty.

They exterior and lobby area was ok. The elevator needs to be updated/cleand up. My door latch was not right and entering the room was difficult. The room looked decent, however there was a sticky spot on the carpet next to the desk.

It would be people that clean up . That would just try and open the door while we were in there . Tv and heater wasn’t working

Hot tub didn’t work, rooms were dirty, unsafe back parking lot

Woke up to ants crawling on nightstand, Sheets were stained, Bathtub and toilet had stains

Staff were great. Walls of the room could stand to have a magic eraser taken to them. Towels left little fiber residue all over after use and bed sheets weren’t that soft. Breakfast left something to be desired. But overall, a decent and safe place to stay for a night if passing through the Chicago area.

Its a cheap place to stay. The service is average. The hotel feels dirty. The room had damaged walls, old and stained carpets, a very dilapidated office chair, and the world’s tonight pillows. Also broken doors, and the main door was busted and occasionally wouldn’t read the room card. I would not recommend unless you have no other options.

Husband and I went for a day/night away and for one the access road was difficult to see, as soon as I walked in our room I was about knocked over with a deodorizer that was not pleasant (which I think was probably to cover smoking smells and I requested a non smoking room), neighbors were either really loud or the walls are extremely thin!
