Hilton Meadowlands

I didn’t like nothing about this property. They constantly keep charging my card AFTER I checked out. They don’t answer the phone. BEFORE booking it states they offer FREE breakfast but you get there and they say they aren’t offering it at this time to go buy food at Starbucks. You have to pay for parking. Horrible experience with this hotel I am not satisfied and I spent my hard earned money here and they keep taking money from my card.

My only complaints are that there was no microwave in the room. I didn’t like that the front desk person helped the person that came after me essentially skipping me.

I got there found out the room was a king and not two queens. Offered comp for parking, which I neber received. The first csr was fine, Bia, but the one on Saturday was rude and condescending. I heard there was bedbugs and roaches on the 11th floor. Not sure. Definitely not enough and too slow elevators. Waited 20 minutes to get one. I hope to never have to go back there.

Easy to get to and quiet

Not all rooms equipped with refrigerators as described in overview. Some in our group without a refrigeratorhad food as we were here for a weekend long 3 day event and with limited dining options, it was imperative to bring some of your own food

Plan an hour ahead to use the elevators. So slow, one out of service, did I mention slow… Rusty, out of date fixtures. No bodywash in the dispenser in room. No soap in the community restrooms, no paper towels, toilets not flushing. NO HOT WATER IN SHOWER.

The air conditioning didn’t work, no hot water, elevators not working for large dance events, hotel and rooms dirty.

There was no refrigerator in the room. There was no shampoo in the bottle provided. They shouldn’t be allowed to say they have a restaurant since the menu has 6 items and the waitress was rude. May have possibly gotten food poisoning as well. I do not recommend.

The floor was filthy, and there was roaches crawling around in our room. I woke up to two of them on my pillow.

We arrived around 1pm and asked for an early check in ( per front desk agent, check in began at 3pm) without even looking at his computer, front desk agent said that no rooms were available so we figured we would get lunch and come back later, which we did, around 6pm. Later that night, we went out and came back around midnight to an EMPTY parking lot, only to show that rooms were probably available when we arrived, but no, let’s not make customer happy and let them check in 2 hours earlier. Adding on to this horrible stay, second night in, we get woken up around 1:30am but someone trying to unlock the connecting door to our room. I quickly called front desk only to find out that it was one of their employees trying to fix the door knob AT 1:30am!!!!!! Of course I complained to front desk agent the next day, which he looked up work order and confirmed to me that this happened but like he said, “ I wasn’t supposed to hear anything”!!!! And lastly, on top of this run down place, with stained shower curtains and rust everywhere in the bathroom, my son sneezed the entire time we were there, only for us to find out, while on the elevator with other guests who have stayed there before, that their ac/ heat system brings a ton of dust to the rooms. I’ve stayed at this hotel before when it was owned by Hilton, which is no longer the case. Needless to say, I won’t be staying here anymore.

The hotel room is noisy they need to update the heating system. it was difficult to sleep.

The hotel was overall clean however the bathroom tub did not drain and the toilet was really loud.

I booked off of the pictures provided and the room did not match the picture so beware!!! Rooms are run down and old . Beds are comfortable and bedding is nice thank god for that. That’s all the positive I can say. Over priced parking fee Carpets are sticky - use slippers/shoes

Terrible

The hotel was in a convenient location only a few minutes from The American Dream Mall. The staff was accommodating and the room was clean!

Overall it was a great stay. They could have cleaned and fixed things in the rooms such as the lighting, tissue holder, the rust on and around the sink and the shower head but my family and I slept comfortably. The staff definitely could’ve responded to our wants and needs the first maybe the second time as well. But I will visit again to see if the changes were applied.

On the website and hotels.com the hotel is portrayed as a modernized hotel. The building has no name on it, the entry is very outdated with numerous stains on the carpet and a light damp odor. The room was very dark and not updated at all. Carpet stains, there was a razor left in my kids room very clear in sight and it made me question was the room thoroughly cleaned. We stayed in the hotel because we had no other options and it was very convenient to the American Dream location. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and nice. But the overall look of the hotel I was not please with.
