Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lake Placid, an IHG Hotel

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I took pictures but I don’t see the option to upload them here. I’ll make sure to include them in my Yelp review. We were put on the first floor and it was extremely noisy. The bed was uncomfortable and there was no bedding for the sofa sleeper. If the room (king bed and sofa sleeper) is advertised to sleep up to 4 people and the reservation is for 3 adults, I would expect the bedding to be in the room already. There were only 2 towels, too. I will not be returning.

We had a very nice stay.

The elevator door was malfunctioning, so the front desk clerk had to open it from the service side. This made me a little uneasy riding the elevator. The breakfast was nice, the scrambled eggs tasted bland and artificial, but the sausage and sausage gravy was delicious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, but I booked the suite because I was traveling with children and was disappointed there was only 1 TV in the suite, in front of the bed, but no tv in the sofa area. I gave the area around the property 3 stars because the outside of the hotel looked bleak. Just a big parking lot, no trees, shrubs. In Florida, we're used to beautifully landscaped surroundings so it was noticeably bare.

Staff was phenominal. Very clean and quiet. Nice hot and cold breakfast selections.

I liked everything except the broken elevator

La estadía en general estuvo bien, solo que el día que fuimos no funcionaba la puerta del ascensor. Pero todos amables, la comida bien, y la habitación también.

The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful. There is a gas station within walking distance that is super convenient.

Not as clean as it used to be.

The staff was so friendly and helpful

We stay here a lot and it’s usually great. This time… the very first time I have an infant with me the house keeper decided to knock on our door at 9 am like she had zero sense. I have never been so annoyed.

The room was clean but the floor in the bathroom was not as clean and was sticky. The shower head was coated with hard water deposits and didn’t work well.That is the only issue that could be corrected.
