Hotel Coral Reef

The property was right where we needed to be. We could walk to breakfast easily.

Unbeatable location on the ocean with little beach and nice grounds. Good price for location. However, our room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and we had to wait 2.5 hours for that. We did get a $50 credit for this inconvenience. Our room was comfortable but somewhat dated. Be aware that windows don’t open in rooms so there’s no enjoying the ocean air; you have to use the A/C. Beds were comfy and we slept well but were glad we only stayed 1 night.

Great value for absolutely terrific beachfront location. Easy walking access to many food and beverage options nearby. Staff was friendly and responsive. Would absolutely return next time we're on Kauai.

The room we are in is dirty. Walls even dirty. Coffee strains on floor. Rug dirty and floors in bathroom sticky. Throw pillows ..white..are dirty. I The property is older which is fine if it were clean.

The location is great being right by the water, the mini fridge is a bit small, double sinks don't leave much room for toiletries. The bathtub was older and a bit high getting in and out of. Carpet in the room was old. Overall it was a good place that could use a few updates.

The maintenance guy who took care of the grounds was so nice. Everyone was and the view was gorgeous. Randy was also very accommodating. Thank you Hotel Coral Reef!

For island of kauai this is a budget ocenfront hotel. Every employee I intertwracted with was frienldy and helpful.

The hotel sits steps from the ocean. If you get the ocean view you can sit on the terrace and watch the sun rise. Beautiful! You’re close to restaurants and a wonderful walking path. Bed is large though sheets though clean were worn. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Room was shabby in spots. Some of the staff were friendly and on top of things. The woman who checked me in and was behind the desk was welcoming and helpful. You can borrow beach chairs and umbrellas to take to any of the wonderful spots on the island. There was a problem with someone smoking cigarettes and weed near my room that she tried to solve though she didn’t investigate. She also didn’t offer to change my room. I had a short stay so I didn’t ask to change. The guy who was also in the office was surly and very unhelpful. Just be warned that the hotel is near 3 weed stores so it’s prevalent! Turns out it was people in the room below mine who were partying big time. It was New Years so maybe it was to be expected! Mixed bag of a stay.

This property was great, easy convenient check-in not quite enough parking but parking nearby… Also, we got there late. Very helpful

Although we stayed only one night, we had a great experience! The staff was very welcoming and went over and above to make sure we were taken care of. They even had bicycles to use for the afternoon! The view was amazing and we were close to shopping and dining.

Loved this resort. Not huge but lots of amenities available and beautiful beachfront t. Wish we had booked a longer stay. We will return next time!

Lovely location and the room we purchased for our one night stay was just as described at booking. Very comfortable bed, great addition of two sinks in the bathroom and plenty of coffee in the morning. Having a fridge in the room that really cools was helpful.

Oceanfront. Fabulous views. Wonderful multi use walkway that we biked and walked every day.

I loved this property for many reasons. We had a top floor view, although all rooms faced the ocean. We l9ved the free cruizer bikes and that it is next to an 8 mile (mostly flat) bike/ walking path. It has priximity to grocery and restaurants, and the employees are happy, helpful and proactive to go the extra mile to make your query answered.

We were there in a terrible storm. Everything was fine with the place but it wasn’t a good time to judge the grounds.

The ocean view was beautiful and it had a nice little beach to walk on. They had bikes you could use for free and other extras which was nice. The hotel itself was older and a little dated, and not super clean. Not the worst, but not the best.

Amazing location, absolutely perfect..! Too bad it's let down by the condition of this property, this place is tired and needs to be refreshed. I understand that the vibe is intentionally "island casual" in keeping with the surrounding Kapa'a area, but there's relaxed and then there's old and worn out...

Our flight was delayed and our daughter was meeting us there so I had to switch my reservation and also I had earlier added an extra night. I thought these two changes might lead to a difficult situation. But nope. Every thing was handled perfectly! I was ver impressed with the office staff - friendly, helpful and relaxed. Our room was on the bottom floor and opened up on to a beautiful lawn that was then bordered by a pedal path and then a gorgeous beach. The sunrise views were amazing!! One day we used the complimentary bikes and road as far as possible along the path. As for the room, it was basic but in reality, we were barely there. Every day we were up to catch the sunrise then off to hike and visit beach’s all day. One night, I did jump in the pool at 7:45, and it was too cold for my liking. But did not affect our trip because, we’d rather swim in the ocean anyways. Easy to walk from the hotel to restaurants and stores too.

Enjoyable stay. Comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Great ocean views
