Clean and quiet

Our room was next to the elevators and could not sleep due to the elevators making noise going up and down all night. Making a raddling noise. I was trapped inside the elevator for 40 minutes until the technicians arrived. There were 11 people inside the elevator, but the elevator never stated anything about it being too full. We were trapped on the 4th floor. We asked the operator to contact Police and Fire Department.

We had a very nice stay, the hotel is in a convenient location and the majority of staff is attentive and friendly. Our room had a magnificent view of the city, a bit small but comfortable and with useful appliances like a microwave and fridge. Some minor observations: breakfast was good with several options, but sometimes the food was undercooked (eggs and potatoes), the shower head was a bit dirty and the lights beside the bed weren’t working, and while most of the staff was quite friendly and helpful, I sent a package (even called beforehand to confirm if this was possible) and the person who gave it to me seemed to be irritated about it. Overall I would greatly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The view is spectacular, but our $500/night room had a window taped with green painter's tape to reduce the sound of the wind, and the mirror in the bathroom had a broken corner taped with duck tape.

Hotel was conveniently located to the theater. But no rooms with two beds made it difficult for the rest of our family to stay there as they only had king beds.

My stay was highly anticipated. I looked at pictures of the hotel on the Marriott website and the hotel looked beautiful. The views from 6501 were great. The staff was great, up until my last night. The hotel ran out of towels and I called 3 times, finally getting a hold of a manager. I had to dry myself with several floor mats, which was unacceptable. I am a gold elite Marriott member, and I am just disappointed. The room was very dated, the closet has wires hanging from the shelf to illuminate the interior, the shower would lose pressure at multiple intervals during the shower, there was a HUGE tangle of wires near the first window which appears to have been some type of modem that was tucked behind a curtain, which I'm sure is a fire hazard. My friend in 6503 had the same modem looking thing behind her curtain as well. When I opened the closet doors, it felt like the closet was going to come flying towards me. The overall luxury feel of staying at a Marriot brand hotel was completely absent in this dated hotel room. There was no luggage stand for me to place my luggage either. I am very disappointed in the room. Again, the staff was very nice, but the hotel needs some upkeep and work. Very dated, some issues that could be considered safety issues, lack of towels to dry off after a shower (they said they were out), a closet that was a modular piece that was not attached to anything, and multiple concerns with exposed wires in multiple areas of the room.

The staff were rude when we arrived, the room was old and had kitchen utensils missing. All on all a major disappointment.

Great location

We checked into room 3907 on December 9th and were instantly captivated by the breathtaking views of the city and water. The location was fantastic, conveniently situated between Central Park, Times Square, and Rockefeller Center, making it easy to explore New York's iconic attractions. However, we encountered several issues with the room. The refrigerator was not functioning, which was concerning since we had medication that needed to be kept cool. We called maintenance for assistance but, after a few hours without an update, we followed up and were assured help was on the way. Unfortunately, after waiting longer, we decided to leave the room. On our way out, we informed the front desk that maintenance had not arrived. Upon returning several hours later, we found the refrigerator still wasn’t working. We requested a room change, but were told we would need to wait until the next day. They kindly offered to store our medication in their restaurant fridge for the night. Later that evening we discovered the lights above the high stands were inoperable. The next morning, after my shower, I stepped out to find the bathroom floor flooded, highlighting the lack of upkeep in the room. Fortunately, our stay improved in the new room, 4906. While more comfortable, it still showed signs of wear, with visible scratches and the bathroom barn door not fitting properly. Overall, while our experience had its ups and downs, I’m not sure I would choose to stay here again.

Overall very good but was disappointed to find some of the cutlery not washed properly, so maybe not checked when change of room from previous guests.

Enjoyed this convenient location. Very good free breakfast selection.

great location

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is served in a really nice room on the 3rd floor and the selection of food is excellent. The kitchenette in the rooms is so convenient and we had beautiful views of the city. The subway station is just two blocks away and easily accessible. Really enjoyed my time there and would recommend.
