— What to Expect —
Go on a five-day adventure you won't forget! Follow your professional guide to the mountain ridges surrounding Fairbanks, away from the light pollution and noise of the city. This increases your chances of seeing the marvelous aurora! Keep your camera handy to take stunning photos, or sit back and relax in the cabin while waiting for the northern lights—with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a variety of snacks.
We will take you to explore downtown Fairbanks and visit 2 of the most iconic attractions in the city: the Museum of North and Santa Claus House. The exhibitions at the Museum of North show specimens of animals living around the Arctic Circle, as well as the lifestyle and status of the local aborigines. Stepping into Santa Claus House is like stepping into a fairy tale, where you can send a postcard from the North Pole.
Don't miss the Chena Hot Springs, an unincorporated community in the Fairbanks North Star Borough that is renowned for its hot springs and private resort. Take your time to relax and unwind in the great outdoors. Then, visit the Aurora Ice Museum to learn more about the stunning natural phenomenon. At the end of the tour, you can stop by the ice bar to have an Apple Martini in a cocktail glass made of ice!
