Decent quality hotel in great location. We had the basic room but was pretty good for one night. (Although shower over a bath was a bit old school) Staff were friendly and helpful.

The lady at reception with the beautiful nails was fabulous.
Very helpful, courteous and very pleasant.
J, the person responsible for the planning and organisation of the breakfasts was also magnificent.

The room was comfortable but it felt a little dark. Bed was very comfortable and the TV had lots of good options including casting. The breakfast was tasty buy very small for the price.

The room was tired and in need of repairs, especially the bathroom that had a fair bit of mould. A repair for a leak carried out on the ceiling but the quality of the repair is shocking and not what i'd expect for this level of hotel. Broken tiles too. Disappointing.

The product used to clean/air freshener was overpowering to the point that we had to ask for an Ozone Cleanser to be left in the room whilst we were out.
Although apologetic, we felt the response was somewhat rehearsed and lacked any genuine remorse. The breakfast milk at one of the coffee stations was curdled.
Having booked a double room for dual occupancy, we only received one bath and one hand towel. We were told to look in the wardrobe, which we had already done before contacting reception. Housekeeping brought additional towels. Overall, disappointing and not what we’d expect from Mal Maison.

Had a great weekend at the Malmaison. From the moment we arrived and checked in we were made to feel welcome. Great location, only a few minutes away from New Street Station. The room was clean and had everything you need, breakfast was great and every single member of staff we came across was attentive and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Malmaison Birmingham was absolutely fabulous. The staff were tremendous and couldn't have done more for us.
The hotel is very clean and the relaxation room at the spa is beautiful.
We stayed in a deluxe double double room which was spacious and very comfortable.
