It was wonderful. No elevators though but worked fine for me. The breakfast was very small but the tiny breakfast was super. Very close to Kings Kross station. Very friendly staff.

What a lovely place to stay! Very different, special boutique hotel with a quirky very friendly vibe. The people who work there were extremely nice, warm, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and will absolutely be staying there again!

Fantastic. Enjoyed every moment.
My only comment is maybe add some sort of handle to help people get out of the floor bath as we tripped and fell getting out.

The only thing to note is that the staff were not really that friendly. They didn’t ’read the room’ and try to help. They spent most of their time on their phones and gossiping. I spent a lot of time in the communal area and heard a lot of conversations where they essentially complained about working there. Not great.

I had the room with the balcony. Staffs were friendly. However, there was no elevator to our second floor room. There were construction outside and Uber/taxi could not drive directly to the hotel. We had to walk a block to our uber/taxi. The bed was smaller than advertised. The bed was more like a full, not a queen.

A l'arrivée déjà, un problème se pose: ma réservation indique un petit déjeuner gratuit par jour. La personne a l'accueil me dit que c'est en réalité 1 pour tout le séjour.
Le lendemain matin, j'ai quitté ma chambre a 9h en prenant soin d'accrocher le signe de porte demandant de faire la chambre. Je suis rentré à 16h, je devais prendre un appel important. La chambre n'était pas faite. Alors que mon appel commence, la femme de chambre entre et me dit qu'elle part a 16h30, que je ne peux pas prendre mon appel si je veux que la chambre soit faite et ne me donne aucune alternative de lieu calme. Malgré mon insistance, ma chambre n'a pas été faite. Je l'ai signalé a la réception en partant qui m'a juste dit que j'aurais du prévenir en partant.
Pour un 4 étoiles a plus de 300 euros la nuit, je m'attendais a plus de respect.

When I arrived I had been "upgraded" to a better room.
The catch is that this room was a lower floor room (below ground floor) and it was facing the street with a storage just in front of it. There were men (not form the hotel) loading vans at 3am on that storage.
The room had single glass windows that are old, without any isolation for cold or noise. IKt was like if people were inside my room at 3am, walking over metal stairs and carrying heavy things form teh storage.

The Gyle was a perfect location, steps away from King’s Cross and Euston stations. I stayed on the 3rd level. Quite steep steps to carry up luggage. The room itself was very small, though OK for me as I was traveling solo. The compact space was used well. Keep in mind this hotel is located in a townhouse so the walls can be quite thin. Enjoyed the breakfast included. Enjoyed that the bar was open 24 hours! Staff was pleasant. Would stay again the next time I’m in London.
