Hrafninn Guesthouse

Not at all what was expected, severely misrepresented. For the "romantic double room" the toilet ran all night and cistern leaked on the floor (was not able to turn the tap off either), the sink backed constantly. No clear direction on how to enter the property, this was advertise as "receptionstaff will greet you on arrival", I had to call for instruction and the person stated he had not actually been onsite so was not sure what I was describing or asking (he was lovely to speak with though) I did notify via email of both not able to access the property and of the running toilet - no response to date received. Could not get live tv on the tv, and was not able to access anything via the tv. I wasn't expecting a 5 star resort, however, I was at least expecting smooth entry into the property and a non running and leaking toilet.

Great overall hotel and location. The only negative is the bathroom smelled pretty bad kind of like sewage.

먼저 이 게스트하우스 건물 정면에 BG4라는 간판이 보이지 않아서 네비게이션이 다왔다는 멘트가 있었으나 어디가 BG4인지 알 수 없어 고생이 많았음. 또 리셉션엔 아무도 없어서 잘 못 선택한 기분이었음.

Auf der Seite des Parkplatzes war ein anderes Guesthouse am Gebäude angeschrieben, das hat uns kurz verwirrt. Vorne Stand dann aber BG4. Die Fensteramaturen waren kaputt und die Fenster konnten nicht ganz geschlossen werden. Die Tischlampen haben nicht funktioniert. Der Ablauf vom Waschbecken war auch etwas verstopft. Aber ansonsten war es gut hier!

Good value for the facilities

The room was good and located in a great location. The washroom had a terrible smell and we had to keep it closed at all times so it didnt ruin our stay.

Very nice guest house, however, I wish they had some sort of sign to say bg4 guesthouse, the front door has another name. But lovely once we got inside and the location could not be easier for dinner and the town square!

Nice room, excellent location and would book again. No staff on premises, self check in. Finding it was difficult because it does not say BG4 Guesthouse on the building. It would be helpful if instructions menitoned the house is actually called Hrafninn Guesthouse.

Good location

Poor equipment in bathroom, shower not working well, access complicated, outside kitchen. Name of building wrong, internet access wrong, etc. An inexpensive place to avoid.

I did not like the apartment at all. The door handle fell off into two pieces one on the bathroom side and other on the bedroom side of the door. I got locked in the bathroom and my wife on the bedroom side. Took us 15 or 20 minutes to put the handle together thru the hole for the handle and to get it working again. The TV did not work at all!! No breakfast was offered. I did not not see or talk to a live person. Only furnished us a combination to the apartment by text message. Terrible experience. Expedia should not list the apartment to your customers. Terrible!!!!!

Excellent place to stay in Akureyri. Easy parking. Right in downtown and a few minutes walking to all the best places to eat. Rooms are a bit small but very clean.

The building suffers from an enormous amount of deferred maintenance. We booked and paid for two nights, but left after the first night because of the moldy wall in the bathroom. The sofa in our room was something from a flea market probably. Peeling wallpaper and general dilapidated condition.

Kósi umhverfi og staðsetning frábær. Gangur og krókur þurfti á ryksugu að halda. Það vantar hengi fyrir utanyfir fötin inni á herbergi. Sturtan var biluð en viðbrögð voru til fyrirmyndar. Kaffikannan í sameiginlegu rými var rúsínan í pylsuendanum. Prik fyrir hana :)

There was absolutely no check in at all, the front door was not even locked, open at all hours even during the night!! Got to my room and it was unlocked... And key just on the table. Absolutely anyone could have gone in there before my arrival. There was no controller for the TV, I turned it on manually and there were no channels, just nothing. Shower was a joke took forever to adjust temperature.. The only thing I enjoyed was the bed, it was good linen and comfortable but that's about it. I. Will. Never. Stay. There. Again. EVER

You have to check-in at a different location. No mention of this on Hotels com, no email from the hotel, no notice posted at hotel. When someone showed up, he was rude. Insisted I didn't read my emails. Said he would return with informational "folder" and he did not. Hotels.com website lists 24-hr front desk service. NOT TRUE. Room smelled. Bathroom smelled even worse. Bathroom sink malfunctioned giving only scalding hot water. No cold. Shower was ok. Hope you have better luck if you stay here than we did. I will be having words with Hotels.com.
