The Clayton Hotel is a lovely hotel right on the river in Glasgow. Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly helpful. We were experiencing a severe windstorm in Glasgow which affected my business there. The staff gave me a space where I could meet with my customer, and all went well due to their help for which I am sincerely grateful. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my last stay and found the room (overlooking the canal) to be very comfortable, with kettle and coffee machine, as well as mugs and smaller cups. (Much nicer than a room I had on a previous visit that didn’t enjoy much of a view.) The fridge in the room was a little loud on occasion but this was minor. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The breakfast area was clean and quiet. Just after I had taken a small serving of hot buffet items, one of the staff came over to my table to apologise that they had just realised that all the food from the serving containers was cold and needed to be heated. Mistakes happen so it wasn’t a particular problem. The coffee was hot and I settled for toast. The staff were lovely at the reception, as well as in the restaurant. Excellent location for the Mailbox and canal side restaurants, pub and cinema. There is a Tesco next door too.

What a lovely hotel. Amazing room view, great staff, very accessible to shopping centres. We will definitely be staying here again
