The room was a great size for the price in NYC. It was so close to metro stations and theaters. Perfect location as it was easy to get anywhere. Rooftop bar was lovely and the bartender was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful, conveniently located property. Room was spacious and well-appointed. Free happy hour wine service in the lobby and 16th flr dining/bar was a lovely perk. Elegant and inviting and perfect for our Broadway jaunt in NYC.

It was a wonderful hotel. Very clean. Staff was very kind. The location was perfect for our night out at Wicked and only 10 min or so walk to main restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again!

The room didnt have coffee maker or iron very basic room. The bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was extra soft n not suitable for ppl with back issues. Otherwise ok stay we checked out early but there was no one at front desk to help out. We left message with concierge abt our early checkout.

They kicked me out on new years I want a refund

They have like 2-4 bellman at all times and yet they stand there and won’t help you with the doors. The bathroom is really small and kind of dirty. Ours had paint peeling off the tub. The shower curtain wasn’t the correct size. Plus the faucet went all the way around making it hard to set the correct temp for the shower. They give you 2 bottles of water for the $50/day or so they charge you for “convenience” fee. But after our made through both my full bottle of pop as well as the bottle of water, they declined giving us another. Not very hospitable. Nice location but typical NY rude service. Bring cash to make them do their jobs!!!

the breakdown of elevator was not convenient.

Room 202 has terrible water damage across the entire wall behind the headboard of the bed. It made the room, which was spectacular otherwise, feel like a run down motel.

Walkable to time square, st. Patrick’s cathedral, Rockefeller, Bryant park etc. valet parking, though no in and out privilege, nice clean room, thanks to housekeeping, nice staff, front desk and concierge, nice roof top high end Italian restaurant. Lillies restaurant beside it. a grocery store beside it. it’s just a bit noisy because of the fire station beside.

Small rooms, but it was NYC. Staff were super friendly and helpful

The hotel was perfectly located to walk most of the tourist spots. Walking distance to Central Park! We enjoyed the stay.

I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it. I generally love Kimpton properties. But this stay wasn’t great. The hotel staff seemed flustered and too busy to be attentive. We asked for blankets bc our heat wasn’t working well. It took two days and 4 requests to get them. My niece froze at night, slept terribly, and had a rough two days bc of it. There is no coffee in the room and coffee service stops at 9 am. That’s just bad decision making. I don’t want to have to leave my room to get coffee. And I especially don’t want to have to get up by a certain time to get free coffee when paid $3k to stay here. When I would try and talk with staff, they were dismissive, quick to push me aside, and generally rude. The cable didn’t work well (it constantly paused and glitched) so I tried streaming. That didn’t work either. So, watching movies at night with the niece and nephew also wasn’t an option. We didn’t have hot water for an entire 18 hr period. I assumed it would fix itself and it never did. Super unideal. That’s a basic. All in all, it was fine. But I don’t choose this brand for fine. If things go wrong and the team jumps to help fix them, I can deal with it. But the staff seemed annoyed whenever I came to ask for help.

The Theta was a fantastic option for our holiday NYC stay. Great location, wonderful staff, lovely accommodations. Not a single complaint. I already booked the property again for our next trip to New York.

The basic 2 queen bed room size is small for 4 people IMO. I’ve stayed in other hotels in the same price range that were more roomy. The cleanliness of the hotel, its amenities and staff were great. The hotel overall gets 4 stars. Location is hard to beat for the price if you want to stay in Times Square/ Broadway. It’s close proximity to everything you want to experience there and is across the street from subway access to Uptown or Downtown. Compliments to the early morning bell hop. He was a pleasure to talk to and was very helpful getting us a ride to the train station at 5am.
