Rooms and hallways in need of updating. Cracked tile in bathroom

We arrived from Ontario driving about 4 hours. We had no where to go other than the hotel as our plans were at 4pm (check in time). I called in advance to ask if there was any way we could check in early and they said 3pm or we would have to pay a fee. We got to the hotel around 2:30 and were told we can’t get in until 4pm despite my reservation confirmation being changed to 3. We paid the extra fee and were given our room keys only to reach our room with the cleaner in it. We then had to wait outside the room until she was done. Upon entering the shower did not look like it had been cleaned at all. The floor of it was dirty. At least 2 outlets did not work along with lights and there was a broken handle on the drawer. It was fine for 1 night but not ideal for longer.

There was dirty wash clothes left hanging on the shower bar. The tub needed cleaned out which never happened even after asking.

It seemed like some updates had been made but it was shabby.

Upon arrival at 1 pm, the property is very old and beat up which created some worries. Although check in wasnt until 4, we thought they may have a room ready. They wanted to charge $22 for early check in. So after our long drive we just decided we would use the restroom and then go get lunch and come back to check in later. They had no public restroom to use in the hotel. So we decided to pay the $22 to check in early to have access to our room bathroom. The room was disgusting, the carpet was old stained and clearly not vacuumed. I pulled the comforter down to see a black stain on the sheets. My wife and I decided to immediately to leave this property. I think Expedia should remove this property from there list. It was a total waste of money and I just wanted to find another hotel.

We booked two rooms at this hotel for the location. The overnight desk clerk was kind and helpful. The other three employees were rude. Since then, we have found out that it has a terrible reputation. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We had to change rooms multiple times, due to the problematic issues. It was filthy and reeked of cigarettes. Each room was missing at least one thing: refrigerator, desk chair, luggage rack, coffee maker, towel, hangers. One room was freezing, and the heater was not functional. It also had a large hole in the ceiling right above the bed. Another room had a leak in the patched bathroom ceiling, which dripped all over the toilet & floor, leaving noticeable puddles when the shower was in use. Another room had a nonfunctional TV. In another room, the bedside table drawer contained a dirty towel and a crack pipe. There were strange noises throughout the night. And, sketchy characters were drifting about. It seemed as if everyone there was hooking up and/or doing drugs. It is surprising that Wyndham and Expedia would want to be connected to this horrendous hotel.

It was filthy. The carpet was so dirty that I wouldn’t take my shoes off. I always check the beds in all hotels I stay in for bedbugs. Although I didn’t see any live ones, their dirt was visible on the mattress and mattress covers. When we arrived home, we went straight to the laundry mat to wash and dry everything. I would not stay here again.

Location and old building

Old and outdated furniture, making the room uninviting. Cleanliness issues with poorly maintained spaces. Cockroaches observed, creating an unsanitary environment. Shady ambiance, making the place feel unsafe. Improper lighting in the room and around the premises. Overall, not worth the money; highly disappointing stay.

Fit my needs.

On the plus side it was convenient for getting to the Rock and Roll HOF and didn't cost a lot of money in comparison to other overnight stay rates. The bed sheets were clean well enough as well as the toilet. Unfortunately I would never stay here again due to poorly maintained facilities overall. For example, cracked or crumbling walls, sidewalks, and parking lot. There were stains on the ceiling in the room with cracked drop-ceiling tiles. The carpet was sticky. The AC unit pumped out dust that make me choke. The mattress and pillows were lumpy and hard. The included breakfast was sad; there were breads for toasting but no butter to be found anywhere. Just a small fridge that held a few cups of yogurt and a gallon of milk with a gallon of OJ in dining area. Dining area was sticky with crumbs everywhere. I could overhear the hostess on a private conversation talking about what it's like to get stabbed which just created a bad impression.

The dingy aspects would not have been so hard to deal with if we could have counted on a somewhat proper breakfast. We travel to ride MTB. We need a proper breakfast in the am and always stay somewhere that offers breakfast. No protein, coffee situation was terrible, cereal stale, homeless lady that smelled like feces sat right next to us and wanted to talk to us while she ate her breakfast. We felt so bad for her, but also we like peace in the early am, and we were trying to have a conversation about our plans for the day, including the issue with needing to find a proper breakfast and decent cup of coffee. We apparently arrived 30 minutes earlier than the check in time, and they were going to charge us an extra $50 instead of just telling us that, or being hospitable or anything remotely professional. It didn't appear that they were very busy, so they must be scrounging for any extra cash they can get out of people. Came back for a nap between hard exercise and housekeeping kept banging on our door, even though we asked for a do not disturb sign. Front desk assured us no one would try to come in unless we requested services. Rough stay. Basically camping indoors. At least the water was hot in the shower.
