Cape Tribulation Beach House

The beach,pool ,view and food was amazing!

We were not able to enjoy our 2 night stay and left after the first night. This is partly down to the weather with torrential rain adding to the humidity. The A/C in the room just could not get the room cool enough and our entire suitcase eof clothes ended up damp. We were not able to get a good night's sleep and opted to abandon our stay. The receptionist had little interest in our plight and no concern for our early departure or offer to change our room for one with better A/c. We may have been unlucky with the weather but I would still give this lodge a miss as they are disinterested in their guests. In our 60 day trip round Aus /NZ this was sadly our worst stay.

Beautiful & tranquil

An interesting experience but one night is enough. This is well located at the start of the wilderness area but there is very little to see and do for someone like me who spent 20 years on the beach and in the jungle in Malaysia. The place is small and basic but clean and the food at the restaurant is quite good. It is just about value for money. One complaint is that the admin/ mgmnt did not reply to questions I had earler asked about the road condition and likelihood of a long wait at the ferry........ both of which turned out to be OK.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beach was beautiful.

Food was very expensive and not that great considering the price.

Property was very clean but much smaller than expected. No chair or table in the room. Parking is not possible right beside your cabin so, although it wasn’t too far, it was a bit of a struggle with all my luggage pushing it downhill on arrival and uphill when leaving in the cart provided. Great to have the private beach so close. Staff in the restaurant were outstanding.

The kids loved the swimming pool and exploring the rainforest

Huts nestled into lush rainforest, Cape Tribulation Beach House is a real escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You are forced to disconnect from everything as there is no Wifi or even television. The restaurant serves a good variety of reasonably priced food and the pool is a refreshing dip under a green canopy. Pack earplugs though as the adjoining rooms can be a bit noisy.

This is a fabulous property in a fabulous location. Its amazingly nice. The restaurant is very good, all meals were excellent, service great and it was great value. Given its remoteness and how expensive it must be to run an establishment here, we found everything to be surprisingly affordable.

Sitio idílico para estancia de 1 noche. Son cabañas en plena selva. El servicio en recepción y en el restaurante es excelente. La playa es muy bonita, aunque el baño no está permitido por peligro de cocodrilos. Nosotros hemos estado en una habitación para 4 (capacidad 5). Para una noche es correcta, aunque la limpieza es terrible: mucho polvo y debajo de las camas no han limpiado desde hace meses: hemos encontrado papeles, tickets de compra, papel higiénico…muy asqueroso, la verdad. Hay bichos, evidentemente, estás en mitad de la selva. Felicidades al personal del restaurante: la comida y el trato de 10!

Awesome place

Great location. Easy beach & dining access. Unfortunately rrom is small & tired - needs an upgrade. (Cracked sink, shower water ended up all over the bathroom, insufficiend space for clothes & bags

Just need to warn people of the walk from the car park to the restaurant. But overall we had a wonderful three nights. Bed was amazing and was very peaceful

School camp vibes but location is absolutely perfect! In amoungst the rainforest , and super quiet , great place for a few nights rest
