Nelson Towers Motel & Apartments

Far too much trouble for older people to get code numbers etc... & after already having received my confirmation a couple of weeks prior to our stay I then got message to Register on line & get a code then had so much trouble doing this I had to phone the place 3 or 4 times & the 1st man was really upsetting me. They should be made to help people better that are not great at on line stuff. My husband is legally blind & got cranky & upset for me. We will never stay again, I have family up that way so when visiting we'll stay elsewhere.

Difficulty getting in. No one in reception. Called a phone number to get into the garage. Waited for entry code to be sent to my phone (it was sent to the wring phone). For three days there wss construction work being conducted on the building. The noise was so great that we could not stay in the building during the day. Management said it was council work they hadn't been advised about but the local newspaper said it was a projectbeing conducted in consultation with fhe hotel.

Great central location. Easy check in.

Once parked, you don't need your car. Shops, marina, food & dining, water, fishing, walking paths, tourist info centre etc all in easy walking distance. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Bed and lounge were comfy, shower was great and there was a lovely, roomy balcony. Only minor problem was the early setting up (dragging chairs) cafe below and traffic- if you enjoy a sleep in, you won't get one, but who wants to sleep late when there's so many great things to do.

Enjoyed few nights stay at this property. Highly recommended.

A really good location, and nice rooms. No reception desk which would be fine if there was a means of communication but we found the communication to be very poor.

Our room was amazing and very close to shops had amazing time staying there

Good location easy to deal with

Convenient to all amenities, parking, has a lift

The only thing I could fault was that in my room, there was no kitchen sink to rinse and wash cups and plates. Having to do these tasks in the bathroom basin didn't seem right.
